Swisscom White Remote not recognised by Multi-Remote Philips Unit (SRU6008)

I just had my old Black Swisscom Cable box replaced by the latest small White/Black model (IP1200).

My Philips Prestigo Multi-remote worked fine on the old one. All Swisscom remote buttons were recognisable on the Philips.

Now with the new IP1200 Swisscom model, none of the white remote’s buttons are recognised. Please before anyone suggests i vary the distance - i have done all that and more including deleting the old set up on the Philips and adding it again. Needless to say Philips have never heard of Swisscom so i cannot now and could not then find a Swisscom Cable box. But you can get the Prestigo to “learn” other remotes’ commands button by button and this worked on the old black box. Not on the new one!

So now, Swisscom, what are you doing to the radio signals of the White remote?! It is not recognised by a fairly expensive Philips which recognises EVERY OTHER wireless signal transmitting device I ever owned.

Please help or i have to put 500 pounds worth of useless Philips kit in the drawer - i bought 5 of these remotes only a year ago!

The newer box are Bluetooth.

Afaik you can not learn the commands with other remotes

So now there is no chance of configuring the new BT remote with ANY “all-in-one”/logitech/philips etc

and furthermore IT will not allow any other remote device (TV/Bluray player etc) to piggy-back on it so IT becomes a Multi-Remote!

And the tiny, light coloured very useful grey on white background “TV quide-dog” menu is illegible to most “non-squinting” human eyes. Did the programmer have a microscope? A 50 inch screen?

never mind - we are stuck with it (as usual in Switz).

PS - Much better is available and costs a half of what you charge in the UK. Rip off - same as your mobile phone scam (i mean “contract”)
