Dear All,
We have recently update the speed of our Fibre Internet connection and we are busy doing some testing of it.
The Internet box is a Siligence SAS Model SGA441SW
I would be interested if there are any opinions and ways to optimise this box, either formally or unofficially
For those with longer memories you will recall that the previous generation of boxes had a SSH command line ability and the way to use a very Cisco like detailed command line setup and configuration.
This is NOT available as standard, or at all as far as I can determine with the white 'Internet Box'
Even in 'expert' mode from the GUI there are no real opportunity to do any sort of meaningful configuration.
I can imagine that from Swisscom's viewpoint they might want to lock down the configuration so that users can't screw up the box, but for those who would like to optimise the box I would have hoped that such access was available.
So with that said:
Is there a way to get better access to the box
- ssh or command line access
- ways to set up systems management or tailor the networking
and so on
Obviously I have googled this, and got zero replies. So anybody?
