Hello

Will it also work with a NATEL company plus subscription?

The requirements are: one of the following subscriptions: NATEL® (xtra) infinity, NATEL® (xtra) infinity plus or NATEL® entry

Guess we Migros ONE customers have to be left behind again?

Only the expensive SC subscriptions support the new technologies!

We don’t even have LTE yet!! It’s a shame the competition has such poor networks! Full 4G speed in all subscriptions and prepaid too!!

Yes, the name is Migros but the bill and everything is SC! Apparently 2 classes of customers! Ok at least we travel cheaper!

Oh yes, visual voice mail is not available with M either!

Hello AndyRo

The NATEL® company subscriptions correspond to the NATEL® entry subscriptions for private customers. This means it will also be possible to use VoLTE and WiFi calling with the NATEL® company subscriptions.

Hi

So I don’t see the advantage of WiFi calling anyway. The only thing that’s new is that the connection is interrupted when you leave the WLAN and LTE doesn’t happen to be present.

Wifi calling is mainly interesting for operators because they can use their mobile networks.

That’s why this is probably mixed up with the other topic of VoLTE so that it doesn’t stand out as much.

bye

Apparently Apple’s firmware 8.4 (still BETA) comes with WIfi calling! I still have a prepaid from the salt competition (yes only in an emergency) I inserted the SIM into an iPhone 6 with the Beta SW and have the Wifi calling option in Kundencenter! Unfortunately I can’t test it, I only have 3G reception everywhere in the apartment, so of course I have WIFI everywhere!

So it’s possible that this is coming! At Apple!

Swisscom has prepared the network so that switching between VoLTE and WiFi calling takes place without interruption. Switching from WiFi calling to 3G/2G will result in a temporary shutdown.

Question: Will switching from VoLTE(4G) to 3G/2G also lead to a crash?

Hello

The service was said to be activated gradually. I don’t want to stress you out, but tomorrow it will be a week since this message was communicated. As far as I know, nothing has been released yet. Or are there users who have already received an SMS and can use the new feature?
Are there any concrete dates when this will happen?

Hello Gipri

Exactly, we are gradually turning on 4G telephony for our customers. If you have a Samsung Galaxy S5 device and the appropriate subscription, you will receive an SMS from us as soon as the service is available. Thank you for your patience.

Best regards

Hello Gipri

The iPhone 6 will support VoLTE later this year. This requires appropriate software from the device manufacturer. We can’t give you an exact date at the moment. As soon as you can benefit from VoLTE, you will receive an SMS from Swisscom.

I don’t want to be clever, but Telekom in Germany only carries out a carrier update to support VoLTE. These are also released alongside the update cycle. But this has to come from the carrier.

Show original language (German)

The same applies to WiFi and VoLTE, and there are providers who already offer this. If I understand correctly, does every provider need a software update? Why, because every mobile phone provider uses different software?

Probably because these functions are hidden and have to be activated individually for each carrier. The problem here is that Swisscom is probably not putting any pressure on it. It would certainly be a quick matter to ask Apple, HTC and Samsung for a carrier update. Other providers abroad do it this way. But Swisscom once again has all the time in the world and no plan for what will happen when. Typical.

The main thing is to babble something…

I’m just saying that Telekom in Germany and other providers e.g. B. have updated the iPhone BEFORE the start of your VoLTE network. So it can’t be that difficult to update the devices before launching a new service. But what do I know! 😉

Show original language (German)

Maybe it will be unlocked with the update to iOS 8.4?
Anyway, I don’t understand why Swisscom informs us about possible introductions, but can’t give us a date…!
Why can’t you communicate with facts?! What’s so difficult about it?
VoLTE will be introduced from date “x”. WiFiCalling is activated on “x”. That’s it!
This saves Swisscom having to answer a few inquiries and we users can look forward to the specified date 🙂

Thanks Gipri! That’s exactly what really bothers me about Swisscom’s communications policy. Everything has been somewhat announced, but still not quite and a date will certainly not be communicated. If you want to launch a service, you have to have made your preparations and communicated the data. Everything else is just done in a “haubbazig” way.

And anyway: It was said that the Samsung S5 will be supported out of the box. I know a few people with an S5 and no one has received a text message yet. 14 days after immediate start.
