New software for your TV 2.0 Box (software version 1.25.11)

  • Dear forum members,

The next software update for your Swisscom TV 2.0 Box is in the starting blocks. We will make it available to you in stages from Tuesday April 14. The new features are as follows:

    HbbTV: “Hybrid Broadcasting Broadband TV”

    Hbbtv.jpg

HbbTV combines digital TV and the Internet, and allows customers to experience new, interactive TV worlds at the touch of a button. So, depending on the channel, you can not only consult additional information on the current program but also access online video libraries or actively participate in televotes or games.
Customers can launch HbbTV by simply clicking the red “Extra” button on their TV 2.0 remote control.
HbbTV is available for all SRG HD channels (except SRF info HD) as well as for ARD, ZDF, ORF 1 and ORF 2. Use is free and reception does not require specific TV devices.

    Dropbox app

Dropbox customers can now view their photos and videos and listen to their music on their TV. The application required for this can be found at Swisscom TV 2.0 in the application tips.
When using the app for the first time, customers are advised to link the app to the Dropbox user account. It is possible to do this easily by computer or smartphone. Using the Dropbox app is free.

    Deezer app

    Deezer.jpg

From now on, customers with a Deezer account can enjoy their music via Swisscom TV 2.0. Listen to your favorite artists and discover new talents with more than 35 million tracks available. Or leave your music aside to listen to one of the many radio stations available. Deezer offers ample free hosting space. Try it today by creating a Deezer Premium account below: http://deezer.swisscom.ch and choose the NATEL® Pay billing method for convenient and fast payment.

    DLNA DMR service (beta)

    dlna.jpg

This service allows you to display photos, movies and music from your smartphone or tablet on the TV screen. Usage is simple: customers just need to install the DLNA Controller application on their mobile device to be able to display their favorite content on the television screen. A DLNA DMP (Player) application is planned later, which will also allow content from the PC, NAS or Internet Box to be played on the television screen.

DLNA Controller Applications: There are a multitude of possible applications. For iOS and Android users, examples include “iMedïaShare” and “Lumia Play to” from Windows Mobile. Customers who have a Synology DiskStation can use the “DS file”, “DS audio” and “DS video” applications provided for this purpose. The customer who uses an application from a third-party provider accepts the terms of use of this provider. For the moment, Swisscom does not yet offer a solution.

You can tell us on this forum any other application that can be used.

    Improved “Recent” function

    Recent.jpg

We’ve further improved the quick change between the last two viewed channels. The “Recent” function now also supports Replay, Recording and VoD functions.

    Episode title display

For series, the title of the episode is now also displayed on the program detail page.

Channels not included in the subscription

For channels not included in the subscription, customers can now directly access the “Channels and subscriptions” menu by pressing the OK button and subscribe to the desired channel package in one click.

We wish you a good discovery of these new functions and a television experience that is as intense as ever.

Kind regards from the Swisscom TV 2.0 team

Just press the Extra button (red) on the RTS, if the HbbTV is activated it means you have the new update or otherwise in Menu, settings and system information and there should be version 1.25 displayed. .10 of 8.04.2015

    Good morning,
I use ArkMC which is an Apple App for my mobile. This Dlna server allows me to see my films stored on my Nas on Swisscom TV boxes without any difficulty - excellent!

    Good morning,

Is the update done automatically, because by pressing the red button HbbTV is still not available. Since I have version 2.0, I have only had problems and I regularly have to turn off the box because everything freezes.

    THANKS

    HbbTV:

    “Hybrid Broadcasting Broadband TV”

    • HbbTV allows you to combine the advantages of digital TV and the internet. This is a modern teletext which, beyond text, also offers images, videos and interactive services.
*Just press the red “Extra” button to access HbbTV (called HbbTV on older remotes).
    • Channels offering HbbTV indicate this by briefly displaying a notification on the screen after changing channels.

By advocating all these new features, you are giving a blatant example of once again hiding the shit from the cat by providing no solution to the automatic switching off of the TV Box after 4:00 a.m.

This recurring problem, which has been the subject of numerous complaints, also causes my wife to despair and it is I who must intervene after having suffered her recriminations.

Well now I will systematically call you to complain and ask you to restart it since you know how to do it so well remotely.

Furthermore, your message before stopping is a shameless lie since no button on the remote control can block this unwanted process.

In terms of the pretext of saving energy, you would do better to save ours and the surge of anger that takes us each time towards Swisscom.

Receive all the hatred and rage accumulated while writing these lines.

At home, I tested the 4 hour limit twice, by pressing a button on the remote control (example OK or volume) I have no problem, the limit starts again at 0

On the other hand, it would be nice if Swisscom allowed this function to be deactivated 😉

    Thank you Lapinou,

We tried everything, especially the keys to increase or decrease the sound which had been recommended by Jojoh. Nothing helps.

Our only comfort: people like you who take the time and effort to write a little message of compassion.

If only Swisscom had a soul, it could perhaps work, but the orders come from above and there they only know the cash drawer and certainly not the technique nor the slightest empathy for those who bring them to life.

    Well @mically

Hello and thank you for the information. My question is the following: when we have a subscription for 2 TV tracks whose line does not allow us to watch the channels in HD, will it be possible to use this function of the red “extra” button of the remote control?
Thank you in advance for your response.

Ah!ok, we always come back to the fact that we need HD which we cannot have on our televisions due to the poor quality of the Swisscom line. Many thanks for all the help and time it took. Have a good end of the day. Kind regards
