Same thing here, on a new installation.

Plex server version is 0.9.11.7 (on a Synology). When you launch the Plex application, the Plex logo appears and nothing else happens. Then I even have to restart Swisscom TV 2.0 to be able to launch other applications

I found a solution, you have to launch the app from the store, enter the 4-digit code on the link mentioned, wait a few minutes (while the code synchronizes with the TV Box). Then you need a plex pass (paid). For my part, I did not activate it so I was not able to complete the installation, however the signs are encouraging.

I took a plex pass for 1 month in order to be able to download the latest version of the Plex Media Server which is essential for it to work. I then arrive at the point where you have to put the code (plex.tv/pin), but then Plex (on the swisscom tv 2.0) tells me that it cannot find the server… however if I log into plex .tv I can see my plex server clearly…

I have several other Plex clients (a rasplex on a raspberry pi, the Plex app on a Samsung TV) and they work correctly, that’s why I suspect + a problem on the Swisscom TV side than on my plex server.

Same with me! My consoles, tablet, PC etc… Find my Plex server, only Swisscom Tv cannot find it! 😕

I confirm that Plex does not work on Swisscom TV, but elsewhere yes and even very well, such as on PS4, Ipad, Iphone and Imac and Samsung tablet without problem. Hoping that the Swisscom team does what is necessary, because putting an application online that does not work is not really subtle!

I am a Plex subscriber and I enjoy this application wonderfully on different media at home or abroad and friends are subscribed to my account (sharing) and all this without problem, but not on Swisscom TV. On Swisscom TV the application searches for the server and crashes….what swisscom shit!

Absolutely false…watching videos is simply impossible on your system. On the other hand, I can easily do it at home or elsewhere on iPad, iPhone, Samsung TV, PS3, PS4, or on Android! Absolutely, it just doesn’t work. I don’t know what your developers are informed about, but Plex refunded me 1 month of subscription that I had taken out thinking of using it on the box due to this problem.

What is laughable about this problem of connecting to Plex is that: The use of Plex on non-contact media other than Swisscom Tv is functional. Hoping that the moderator passes our messages louder and louder so that the use of the app will be possible, but that’s another story!

The Plex application works correctly but not for everyone.

I have carried out several tests with different 2.0 TVs and indeed there are problems with certain boxes.

The problem found for the moment is that we can see midia not supported by Opera Plex

Error message: Make sure is online and request media is supported.

*** Plex Pass is required to use the app, this is a requirement of Opera/Plex and not Swisscom. ***

In principle for this to work correctly your router must have the UPnP function activated because it is not only port 32400 that will be used by plex. If you do not have UPnP activated (option available on Internet-Box and activated as standard on Centro Grande but not great, still have port forwarding problems.)

I strongly recommend going to the plex settings, settings, server, and modifying the port from 32400 to 32401 (because 32400 is already used by the HTTP protocol and plex server on app 2.0 does not use the same protocol.)

Then go to the router and open a port in the range: 32400-32400 targeted at a single port 32400. (TCP/UDP).

Once done, go to the plex settings, settings, server, connection and click on connect.

And now the problem is solved.

For Synology you have to have version 9.9.10 or higher for it to work.

In Synology, Easter Center, parameter, you must change the “Trust level” and select “Any publisher”, otherwise you cannot install a plex version from a file downloaded to your PC.

I have of course tested your configuration as well as others both at the Internet Box and the Plex server, but still nothing, despite an update of the Plex App apparently from you on the Swisscom Tv Box . You specify the Port Range 32400 - 32400, but this configuration is not accepted because they are identical values. I assume you meant 32400 - 32401? And even if this configuration works, it would only be local, but not from an external connection to the home network. Which I don’t want, because I share my movies with family

I admit that by using the original port address 19557 of Plex my access to the 4 TV Boxes was possible yesterday for only a few minutes and now back to square one.

By the way, I have always been a Plex Pass subscriber.

Today, I tested the Chromecast key… It works without using the Swisscom box.

After installing the app on my phone. ArkMC, it becomes possible with complete ease to see films stored on a Nas and to play them on the Tv-Box in Dlna using Plex media server on your PC or Mac or Nas. Easy and so we abandon the Swisscom Plex application which does not work 😃

I have exactly the same problem as you on the server I have version 2.4.3 and the Swisscom Plex is in 2.4.1 I think the problem is there. Swisscom should wake up and update the version of Plex as quickly as possible. I don’t find it normal that Plex asks for a Plexpass (not free) and that ultimately we cannot connect anyway, so thank you in advance to Swisscom for update their product and put pressure on Plex so that the updates follow.
