There was still Animal Planet for our Ticino friends 😉
Otherwise yes, French speakers have not been spoiled this fall (because there are still channels to put on and especially in HD) not to mention Teleclub Play currently only available in German and given Swisscom’s resources, that still bothers me. throat!!!
Hello oxa2300 and Candide,
We understand your impatience to have an attractive offering of on-demand content in French. In French, this is planned for 2015. The Swisscom TV 2.0 experience is intended to be an evolving offer and we will keep you informed here of future planned updates.
Thank you for your trust and best regards!
I also find that the number of French channels included in the basic offer leaves something to be desired:
1.We have to pay 9frs for the TNT channels (number 23, cherie25, l’équitv, 6ter…etc) even though they are offered free of charge on UPC cablecom. TNT is FREE in France! Why do we have to pay extra?
2. UPC Cablecom offers for a total price for the TV of 44.- the comfort option, including all the MTV France channels, all the Planete+ channels, SyFy, TCM and many others…. While for the Planete+ channels we must also pay 19.- more at Swisscom (plus pack), MTV France not even being offered.
How can we justify these practices? I’m happy with Swisscom TV overall, but I increasingly feel like I’m paying for options that should be included in the base package.
When I see the number of German channels offered compared to French channels (even though there would still be so many to include in the basic offer) I have the impression that French speakers are being made fun of. I called to point out the fact that it was unacceptable to charge for French TNT channels, and I was told that they would contact me when it was offered free of charge…. this did not happen, and for good reason , never been done.
I am impatiently waiting for Swisscom to move in this area and offer us, French speakers, finally a complete offering of French channels.
Best regards and thank you for your response
Good morning,
For point 1, I agree with you, the 6 new HD channels from French TNT should be offered from Swisscom TV Light
For point 2, it’s a little different, Swisscom is the latest to arrive on the market and for the Les+ channels it’s Canal+ which decides and which decided to include them in a pack called les+ (in fact this pack is available at UPC Cablecom since this fall) to see if in the future the Les + channels (except Planète+ because in the base) remain in the Comfort pack or will be available only in Les+
The Comfort option at UPC Cablecom is worth 25.- + 20.- for all + channels (including Les Ciné+) or 45.- at Swisscom Teleclub Premium is 20.- and Les + 20.- therefore 40.- , but with a few fewer sports channels which are in the Teleclub sports offering.
The price of 44.- is just the TV (to which must also be added the 30.-/month of connection) so 74.-/month for the TV.
In summary for me The Teleclub Premium pack is very good and The pack with all the Les+ channels is Canal+'s new policy of putting them in a separate pack and as this same pack is now also available at UPC Cablecom, it’s It is very likely that after a while they will leave the Comfort offer and be available only in Les+

Note that the 6 new HD French DTT channels are included in the Vivo M/Vivo L/Vivo XL packs at no extra cost (1 HD Linguistics pack offered)
If you don’t have them (and you have for example Disney Cinemagic and Nat Geo in German) it is because they have activated the HD Deutsch+ pack instead of the HD French+ pack
You must therefore call the hotline 0800 800 800 to modify the HD pack offered for French
You’re welcome 😉 But nothing stops Swisscom from paying Disney Channel France a little more to offer it in the basic offer.
Moreover in France at Free, they have Nat Geo Wild, Nat Geo and Voyage in the basic offer because the operator pays Fox (owner of the channels) a little more to offer them to everyone 🙂
In any case, with each news of new channels, we see that the French-speaking channels are (almost) not expanding, so I don’t even watch anymore when my box informs me… that saves me from being disappointed at every time!
And yet French-speaking people pay the same prices as Swiss-Germans…!:smileymad:
