And there it is, as expected:

I ask Swisscom to comment, otherwise I will give the exclusive market gap to another provider.

swisscom misses the trend…
Yes, thanks Digitec. Apparently there are no discounts for new subscriptions with Swisscom Abo - or hardly any. Does the same apply to contract extensions?
Nexus 6 64gb New Price: 699chf. With Infinity M over 24 months, for example 609chf.
For comparison: iPhone 6 16gb new price: 729chf. With Infinity M over 24 months 199chf.
Every device is subsidized by Swisscom, but this doesn’t seem to be the case with the Nexus 6. Does Swisscom really want to prevent the Nexus success? If I’m not mistaken, it was like this with all previous Nexus models. For what reason it remains a mystery to me.
Cruncher: that’s not true. Contract extensions at Digitec are otherwise extremely competitive or even unbeatable.
I have now received feedback on the prices with a 24-month extension for Infinity M. So also 609 CHF. I am very disappointed. At this point I demand an official statement from Swisscom as to why the Nexus is the only device that is not subsidized. I find this incomprehensible and regrettable. If this situation does not change quickly, my Swisscom subscription will also have to be canceled next month.
I agree with my colleagues before me:
I would like an opinion INCL. a reason why Swisscom is boycotting the Nexus 6!
Since my subscription expires in a week, I actually wanted to extend it and get the Nexus 6!
Given that I still pay over 600 CHF, I will probably have to re-register my subscription including Swisscom TV, vivo casa, etc.
There will be no boycott. According to earlier information that I remember, the Nexus devices had a pure Android operating system installed, which Swisscom is not allowed to adapt and therefore no Swisscom services can be pre-installed for users. Swisscom would like to make everything as easy as possible for its customers.
I myself am absolutely not a fan of branded devices and prefer to pay more for the device. Just because of the availability of updates. As already mentioned several times, I would order the device elsewhere. The Swisscom Abo can also be extended at other shops.

Do you think this will move Swisscom?
Nice dreams…
What’s with the sense of entitlement?
Do you think Swisscom owes you an account of why it includes which devices in its range?
Nobody will stop it, for example. B. Mobilezone etc. to extend your contract.
Many thanks for your response!
But I think it’s tantamount to a boycott if Swisscom keeps the cell phone from me because they can’t install their own apps. Of course you can gloss it over with optimization for customers, but ultimately it’s also about advertising and data control (which you probably have through the apps you have installed; I can’t delete or adjust them). I would consider customer-friendly a service that offers me the cell phone at similar conditions to comparable products, even without Swisscom apps installed (which would at best make my life easier).
After all, it’s my own fault if the cell phone isn’t that user-friendly. Like you, I also prefer cell phones without pre-installations from the provider, but I would still like an almost similar offer or at least information about why exactly my preferred device is not offered.
