New firmware

Hello

We have made firmware available for manual download. This has, among other things, some new properties.

See more here:

After the World Cup everyone will automatically receive this firmware.

Greetings

So for me the speed test doesn’t work according to [New Feature] Innovative speed test for measuring the internet and home network speed.

I have FTTH (fiber optic)

So it works great here…

First firmware then application updated…

It’s still missing that you can update the Rousseau, but otherwise I think it’s great…

Thank you Swisscom, for the information and especially the description of what has been changed, fixed and new!

I have the same problem as Reezer. Fiber connection. NAS works; On, Flash inst. OK.

Still error message.:smileymad:

Sometimes the IB also goes crazy when changing the IB PW. PW not valid even though everything is correct.

Hello

Regarding speed test:

- You can start the speed test from the box display. If that is possible, then you first know whether it is generally possible or not.

- Have you perhaps made your own DNS settings on the PC? Then it doesn’t work.

@user109

I had that too at first, but then it went away (suddenly)

Have you checked your browser? Firefox, Safari, IE?

Do you have this when the device is connected via WiFi or Ethernet?

Now it works for me after I entered the Internet Box as a DNS server. Is this absolutely necessary, or is it just a small bug?:smileysurprised:

Hello everyone,

I also installed the latest firmware (including app software). And the speed test didn’t work for me at first either.

I noticed the following: The speed test apparently doesn’t work in the following cases…

1) It may be that when using a firewall for the browser used (in my case Firefox) only ports 80 (http) and 443 (https) are permitted for outbound traffic. Other required ports may be blocked.

2) Similar to 1) also applies to a Flash plugin used; additional ports may also be required there, which may not yet be permitted.

3) Since I prefer the https protocol to http as often as possible (because it is encrypted), I wanted to run the speed test that way first - without success.

The solutions…

1) You release the TCP ports in the corresponding browser for outgoing traffic - the IP for the central storage of the Internet box should be used as the remote address (in my case 192.168.1.2) (release all TCP ports) AND the router’s gateway IP (in my case 192.168.1.1) (TCP port 5916 might be enough).

2) For me, a few outbound ports were already allowed for the Flash Player plugin, namely TCP 80, 443, 843 and 1935. That wasn’t enough. Port TCP 7000 was still missing. At least port TCP 843 cannot be omitted. The IP of the IB’s central storage is sufficient as a remote address (in my case 192.168.1.2).

3) With http as the protocol it worked without any problems - taking into account 1) and 2).

Alpine old man

Edit: miscellaneous Corrections…

The firmware cannot be installed for me. I can select the new firmware and click Update Firmware. Then it takes about 3 minutes and I am logged out. When I log into the box again, the old firmware is still installed.

@infinity

Which firmware do you mean - there is the router FW and the application FW… or If you mean the APP FW, were you able to successfully install the router FW beforehand?

And: did the download of the.rui and.acs work properly (possibly download the files again)?

I only tried the router firmware. Without that, the application FW doesn’t make any sense. With Firefox I couldn’t download the firmware at all, so I had to use IE.
