Configure my bluewin email on Mac email

  • Help!

    I am trying in vain to configure my bluewin address on my Mac “Mail 5.3” email. I followed the tutorial but when synchronizing the account, I was asked to enter my bluewin password and this is the message that appears: "The IMAP server “imap.bluewin.ch” refused the user password".

    Obviously, I checked my password ten times. Could someone please help me, before I go crazy!

      Try the following:

      - deletes all existing configurations for this email

      Uses the help software for configuration on MAC [http://www.swisscom.ch/fr/clients-prives/aide/produits/mail.html](http://www.swisscom.ch/fr/clients- private/help/products/mail.html)

      You will be asked for your Swisscom Login username and password (do not confuse with that of the email)

      And normally it should be fine

      If, however, things are not going well, contact the hotline at 0800800800 to obtain help, advice, etc.

    Good morning,

    Same problem for me: I used the installation wizard offered by bluewin as you suggest. I can now receive emails perfectly on my Mac Mail, but on the other hand, impossible to send! And same problem configuring it on the Mail application on my iPhone.

    This is the error message I always receive:

    thank you for your answers.

    I uninstalled everything and redid the installation manually, it doesn’t change anything, still no way to send a message, even if the reception works fine.

    This is probably not a temporary problem because I already tried setting up the email address on my mac and iphone a week ago with the exact same problem.

    hello could you tell us what you put in your sending settings? because since swisscom can block port 25 for sending emails, you have to go through port 465 or 587

    You can change your e-mail password directly in your customer area: http://www.swisscom.ch/login.

    Otherwise, you have at your disposal the Quickhelp software which allows you to easily install your e-mail accounts on your computer: http://www.swisscom.ch/fr/clients-prives/aide/loesung/quick-help1 .html.

    just to say that I am currently experiencing exactly the same problem

    and I have done all the same steps and still nothing works.

    So this confirms what I suspected, namely that it’s probably not just a problem specifically related to our respective computers. Which is already an important point

    It doesn’t provide a solution unfortunately, but it warms the heart not to be alone in this mess.. 🙂

    For those for whom it doesn’t work on the iPhone: why not try it on the wifi of a Swisscom store. And if it still doesn’t work, ask a salesperson to try with their own iPhone.

    To people who have a problem sending email:

    Do you carry out your tests using a Swisscom internet connection or another provider?

    I believe that the problem comes from there (relay problem / destination address rejected). Some lucky people have had, after explaining their problem on this forum, their problem resolved on its own, who knows…

    In short, for the tests that I have done, if I do not use the Swisscom network (internet or mobile) it works, otherwise not.

    And I’m talking about my personal email, because my friend’s, no problem, everything works… The difference is that she was a Swisscom DSL customer at one time, and still a landline, who knows…

    Personally I have a problem when I write a message on bluewin from my iPad, either:
    The text remains in the insert provided for this purpose but I have no view when I type my text.
    The cursor goes to the top of the page, moves as I write, but I can’t see
    what am i hitting?
    Is there a solution or an adjustment to make because it is very unpleasant?
