  • @Samsi I have the feeling that there are those who don’t understand this or don’t want to understand it….

There are updates that have already been postponed for several months and the device was not usable at that time! Then you get upset about an update that only makes minimal changes to the functioning TV-Box… I sometimes don’t understand.

For someone who can use the whole thing, 119.– is affordable - it’s a one-time expense and you can also spend the money in more stupid ways. For someone who doesn’t necessarily need it right now, 118.– is too much, but 60.– would also be too much.

I’m even of the opinion that some people would complain if the box cost 20 more.

Even with a TByte line, I wouldn’t buy a UHD television and the box that goes with it. This is because everything else is there and works. If I ever needed a new television, then I would of course try to get the one that is technically best, as it should last for a few years and then the box as a whole package would be *financeable* - I would still get away with both for less , like if I were to buy a new iPhone.

I’m just beginning to have the feeling that we live in a short-sighted world (also applies to Swisscom, with its products/activities that satisfy shareholders in the short term, but cause more damage in the long term). From the customers side too, of course, because for many customers everything has to be free - this mentality will cost us a lot of jobs in the long term and many people don’t even think about it while they’re sawing the branch they’re sitting on. Without some of the costs that Swisscom imposes on its “customers”, the jobs would have been abroad for a long time (and even if it didn’t have to go hungry).
