Connecting USB Drive to Router

On my old Internet Box 2 I had a 1TB SSD connected via USB that functioned as a NAS.

This was amazing as a backup drive across the network, but since I received the Internet box 3 it’s no longer supporting this feature it seems.

Does anyone else have the same issue?

if it’s really not supported anymore, does anyone have an alternative solution for me? (even thinking raspberry pi with multiple drives attached or something?)

As you already suspected, this is sadly not supported anymore.

When looking for a power-efficient alternative, the Raspberry Pi will be a great solution 😊. There are tons of guides on how to build a NAS using a pi, i.E. using openmediavault or even plain samba.

As a bonus, you get a great starting point for other homelab shenanigans, like PiHole/AdGuard as adblocker for your entire network - maybe even using docker? 😀
