remote access to LAN storage

It is possible to remotely access files via the Internet Box 3 to my wired connected storage (WD Mybooklive).

Local Storgae works very well over WLAN but wonder if this could be also accessed with my laptop when travelling?

I have Surfshark VPN is this is necessary?

It’s possible by configuring the port forwarding or configuring the VPN on the Internet-Box and connecting to it.

Service like Surfshark won’t help you here.

As @bitracer already mentioned, you do not need any unnecessary and costly VPN service. Simply configure the VPN on the Internetbox: https://www.swisscom.ch/en/residential/help/internet/vpn-set-up.html

Please do not set up a port forward for your NAS. The internet will find it and do bad things to it 😉
