bitracer GL-iNet released the Beryl travel router with WiFi 6 capability on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. https://www.gl-inet.com/products/gl-mt3000/ Very nice and capable device. It supports WireGuard OOTB. Would be nice if Swisscom routers supported WireGuard for some easy connection into your own network when traveling.
bitracer It's about the router. The WireGuard idea crossed my mind as I was writing. If I remember well, I (or somebody else) already wrote about the WireGuard capability in another thread elsewhere.
Black Mamba @bitracer as reported @Gaeilgeoir thank you to search for a discussion in progress on the subject before opening a new discussion systematically 😀 >... If I remember well, I (or somebody else) already wrote about the WireGuard capability in another thread elsewhere.... YES, YES and YES 😁 from @DomiP here Can't connect remotely to my home WLAN except if I... | Swisscom Community Swisscom VPN is not extremely productive for me... Its very hard to set up although there are simply just passwords. But i've set up a WireGuard-Box using one of my dozens Raspberry Pi's and these work like a charm. and here vpn connected but can only see 192.168.1.* ips not... | Swisscom Community As i think there is no workaround to access these other "networks" in the different range... Therefore maybe WireGuard or OpenVPN would suit better for you, because this creates a 10.0.0.1-Address and inside this you are able to use the 192.168.1.X and 192.168.2.X-Nets. and here Solved: VPN L2TP on Android 13 | Swisscom Community if you need a VPN, i could recommend you using a Raspberry Pi with DietPi as Operating System. There you are able to install WireGuard manually.
bitracer Thanks, it was not about the VPN functionality. It was about the travel router. It has a nice feature set and fairly powerful hardware for the size.
