FlorianE We blacklisted 004845* via Call barring function in the Swisscom Customer Center due to regular unwanted calls. This doesn’t seem to work as we just received yet another call from 004845818262. The number is regularly changing - this is why we entered 004845* in the black list. The Swisscom customer support couldn’t provide us with any advice and mentioned that in some cases call barring does not work. Any idea how to stop these calls without changing our phone number?
asommiami Hi, few days ago I read in an official pages of swisscom that is possible to enter a number like that 004845* to block calls. Did you try?
FlorianE Yes, I did. Swisscom’s answer upon my question why this doesn’t work was that calls from abroad sometimes cannot be barred. After a lengthy discussion with them they finally agreed to look into this and treat it as an issue and not a feature of their call barring function. Not yet heard back from them though.
FlorianE Heard back from Swisscom this week. They acknowledged that blocking calls with a * does not work properly and will be fixed with a release end of this year. Fingers crossed…
