I would like to confirm that I have correctly understood a conversation with a Swisscom employee (as I find it very surprising).
I have a Swisscom SME package with fibre optic internet connection running at 80 Mbps download, 8 Mbps upload.
Phones use ISDN and the internet connection goes through a media converter (Centro Business router was too unreliable). I was hoping that for a modest extra charge, the existing package could be enhanced with symmetric up and download speeds at 80 or 100Mbps.
According to your colleague, Swisscom do not offer a package with a higher upload speed and ISDN phones.
Instead the phone has to go through the fibre cable.
As the Centro Business routers were unreliable (regularly losing internet connections), I won't go back to one those.
This is strange, as the 8Mbps is a purely artificial restriction - Swisscom refuses to offer anything workable, although it is technically unchallenging.
He was very clear, but I don't want to switch providers on a misunderstanding.
