I cannot send e-mails!!!!

Hello,

I set up my bluewin account on my ipad, iphone and outlook and I can receive mails but I can't send any e-mail. It works only via webmail, but I want to use my mail apps.

On the ipad it says:

"A copy has been placed in your Outbox. The recipient "xxx@ccc.com" was rejected by the server"

I have used these settings:

Server for outgoing mail (SMTP) smtpauths.bluewin.ch (Port 465)
Server for incoming mail (IMAP) imaps.bluewin.ch (Port 993)

And it happens no matter what e-mail provider I try to send an e-mail to. Any solution please?

Do you have a Swisscom DSL or Mobile Subscription?
I know that there is or was a restriction if you have a light abo...

Did you specify the correct protocol/user/password for authentication?

(SSL/TLS, user@bluewin.ch, mail password - not customer center password)

I don't have a Swisscom service other than the email address. They are offering it for free, I didn't read I had to be a customer already...

I'm not sure if it is still the same but if you have only the email address and no other swisscom service (Mobile Phone, Fixnet or DSL) a IP restriction is enabled and you can only use the smtpauths server if on a swisscom network.

Maybe if you call the hotline they might remove the restriction but again, not sure if that is possible without any other Swisscom service.
