Hmm.
Maybe the fact I explicitly said I was NOT INTERESTED in a speed checking tool did not get thru.
So to restate the issue:
I'm using multiple internet cloud services and devices and firewalls behind my Swiscom fibre connection.
It's not practical to simulataneously add up all the different devices to find out what the current instantaneous network load in and out in is. In fact it would be good to have it graphed over time as well, i.e. a historical record but that would be stage 2.
What I would like is some means of measuring the instantaneous network in / out traffic at the swisscom router.
That is it, nothing more, nothing less, and NOT a speedtest.
Clear?
(BTW: A speedtest doesn't function correctly unless you stop all the other loads, and in my case I have network traffic that must remain 24x7, hence a Speedtest would be even less informative)
Hint: I thought somebody was going to give me a nice packages SNMP solution or indicate how applications might be installed to the Swisscom router, etcetera.
