Which user name is meant ?
From TV ? (you write here in the UNterforum “TV”)
    Username from MySwisscom ?
    Username from Smartphone ?

If you don’t remember your MySwisscom username, follow the instructions in the login window under “Forgot password” and/or “Forgot username”.

This is annoying and can be avoided by using a password manager. My Proton password manager stores all passwords and notes etc. absolutely securely in the Proton Drive (cloud from Proton, a Swiss company based in Geneva). This means I always have access to my passwords on my PCs, smartphones and tablets, because every service I use has its own passwords that are simply impossible to memorise.

Of course, you could also create a password table using Excel, but it’s quite tedious and there’s a high chance of typos. Such a table is also unprotected and can be viewed by anyone who has access to the PC. This problem doesn’t exist with password managers, because when I open the password manager, I always have to authorise access first with a code, password or fingerprint (smartphone). I’m happy to accept that for a little more security.

If you don’t know the username or email address used and the password, you’re in a bad position with any provider. It usually helps to create a new user account with the relevant provider. If you know the e-mail address, you can have the password reset and set up a new password.
