I would like to use my notebook with my daughter with WiFi.
No problem until 3 months ago.
Now suddenly a “network security key” is required.
Where can I find it?
All searches end in old, no longer valid advice.
The router is physically unreachable. So “pressing a button” is almost impossible.
Strangely enough, my daughter’s notebook still has Wi-Fi capability.

Basically, in most cases this means the “WLAN password”.

I would “forget” the WLAN on the laptop and re-register the laptop with the password.
Some time ago Swisscom (correctly) increased the WLAN encryption by default from WPA2 to WPA2/WPA3 (in compatibility mode). I can well imagine that this is why the laptop asks for it again.

“My Swisscom” reported to me that the **Wi-Fi password was not accepted because it was “too simple”. Don’t have any “big letters”.
So I changed this.
Now WiFi no longer works at all.
Neither notebook nor iPhone nor Android.
The router has been reloaded.
Bluewin Support now claims I have to use the new password in all WiFi devices
change. So also in the iPhone and Samsung cell phone?!?
If yes, how? I can’t believe it.

Yes, that’s logical.
It’s like a residential building. If you change the main entrance lock, everyone who has access must get a new key.
Simply try to connect to the WLAN with all devices (assume the name of the WLAN is still the same), then it will be recognized that the previous key no longer fits and a key entry will be requested > enter the new key there, done
