All email accounts were deleted after 3 months, even though they had switched to email advanced.

  • I haven’t been able to access my email accounts since this morning.

    According to the hotline, the accounts were definitely deleted, even though a Bluewin E-Mail advanced contract exists!

    This contract was concluded after the accounts were reactivated in early July.

    Now Swisscom says that the contract should have been confirmed because all accounts would be irrevocably deleted after 3 months.

    What’s that supposed to mean?

    • Swisscom support claimed that there was no email subscription even though monthly invoices were issued for it.

      It was also claimed that the reactivation of the email accounts should have been confirmed in some email, which is no longer accessible. Since this didn’t happen, the accounts have now been irrevocably deleted after 3 months…

      Currently, after about 3 hours, all email accounts are working again.

      The accounts were simply migrated to the new interface without notice.

      The support should have known this, or could have. Or at least his supervisor!

      I have been working in IT support for over 15 years and know how difficult it is sometimes.

      Nevertheless, such false statements (others call them fake news) should not simply be left out.

    Unfortunately we can’t help here, we’re just customers like you - we don’t know what exactly was completed/changed, how and where…..

    Can they only advise you to contact the hotline again and describe the situation.
