We are adjusting our roaming products to meet the changing needs of our customers. In recent years, fewer customers have been making calls or using messenger services such as WhatsApp while abroad. At the same time, there has been an increasing demand for more Internet data.
Mobile data abroad
From 1 July 2024, we will be offering new country packages for international mobile use. Compared to the previous zone packages, the new packages are cheaper and only valid in the respective country.
We have focussed on countries for which you have no data included in your mobile subscription (except Germany).
If you are travelling to the Euros to support your favourite football team, you can add a special data package for Germany from 14 June – so you can still share your best moments with your friends at home.
The current zone packages for the EU/UK, World 1, World 2 and the rest of the world have not changed.
Making calls while abroad
On 1 August 2024, we are changing the 'Roaming Voice' package outside of the EU/UK and 'International Calls W' package and increasing the price per minute for international calls.
Here's a tip: If you make more than 15 to 17 minutes of calls a year in a particular zone, it is worth having a call package. This will make your calls cheaper and allow you to control your costs. Tariffs for Voice Travel packages and for Prepaid, fixed network and SMS are unchanged.
