In a farmhouse with a basement and two floors, I set up this repeater on the first floor because the Internet-Box 2 is placed in the basement through a normal ceiling and that works well up to the second floor.

As an alternative to the Swisscom-branded Gigaset Base IP Comfort, the Gigaset GO Box 100 is also available as a LAN-connected DECT base station:

It is also available directly in combination with various Gigaset handhelds.

Unlike the IP Base Comfort, the installation is not purely plug and play, but it is also not very difficult to set up.

You then have to configure the SIP credentials (internal SIP credentials of the Internet box, or external SIP credentials of any provider including Swisscom) once, but there is no provider or router dependency of the DECT base station.
