Thanks for this clarification
I stored photos in thousands of folders by date and location on a Windows PC, just like they used to do (the folder name would correspond to an album name). So if I want to see the metadata, I would have to copy these folders from PC to Photos and then form albums. This is extremely complex.
Can’t you show the metadata (if the object is a photo) in the files too?
Greetings, Philip
So that’s not entirely correct 😄
- Unified Grid, where the local images are displayed, has caused a major change in the main application
- UI Refresh - many new user elements and navigation have been adapted to the native photo application
- Autobackup has been revised and stabilized
These are all super big chunks 🙂
We don’t have a roadmap for features - I’ll just announce new things here 🙂
What else did you wish you had that you missed from myCloud?
Greetings Dave
Sure, I meant less like that @daverupp 😎.
This is great, but as a photo storage medium, myCloud has a smaller range of functions compared to cheaper services.
I mean, vs. iCloud is practically the same, just not as sophisticated as Apple or as built into the ecosystem. Ditto at Google with the AI features on Google One.
For me, MyCloud would be the perfect candidate as a counterpart to Infomaniak kDrive, but more adapted to the average consumer (e.g. like a Nextcloud). Features such as a secure password manager, an integrated mail client, etc. would raise MyCloud to a higher level in the suite, making it competitive in the future. 😇
