difficulty logging in to email

For several months now, logging in is interrupted by an invitation to set up 2-factor log-in. But my U.S. cell phone number is rejected, so I can only click on "cancel"/"interrupt". But that sends me back to email log-in to start the process all over again. This can amount to up to 6 tries to log in. That does not mean 6 clicks; it means 24 clicks plus writing and re-writing ID & password. This is very time-consuming, frustrating, aggravating and annoying. There is nothing I can do if Swisscom won't accept my U.S. cell number & I have no Swiss one when in the U.S. What do people do who do not even have a cell phone? Swisscom allows us to "interrupt"/"cancel" but does not accept the "cancellation." I keep hoping others will report this as well and that it will be corrected. But not so far.

In this situation, it's best to choose an external e-mail program, such as Thunderbird (free), Outlook (subscription) or App Mail on a mobile device, so there's no need to connect to Webmail with the 2FA.
Don't forget to create a pwd for the external mailbox and to use the IMAP protocol when creating the Bluewin account on the device used.

@Rentaurei96 At the moment the 2FA is not possible for foreign numbers, so you no more need to try it, it won't work. We already reported this in several threads, there was no communication from Swisscom till now, how this will be handled in the future.
