Thamebei40 Hi, I have a Natel subscription with multi-device and an eSim activated but not yet associated with any device. I need to use it on my new BMW M440i but when I go through the procedure to connect it, once the Swisscom cockpit opens I get the message "Unfortunately this service is not yet available. We are working on the implementation". Seriously???
bitracer Have you tried going through BMW? They use Swisscom network, but I don't think you can provision your own eSIM.
Thamebei40 That's exactly what I have done. I have provisioned a new eSim on the Swisscom cockpit, then I have used the the BMW service to connect my car to the eSim but once it loads the Swisscom page it says that the service is not available yet. This is surprising because on the BMW webpage it says that the eSim connectivity is already available in Switzerland through Swisscom.
bitracer That's the thing, you need to purchase through BMW the Connected Drive package: https://www.bmw.ch/de/shop/ls/cp/connected-drive
bitracer You probably need the Connected Booster package. Contact the BMW dealership for more precise info. Some models support personal eSIM, bit it's not your case. https://www.bmw.ch/de/topics/angebote-und-services/bmw-digital-services-and-connectivity/personal-esim.html
Thamebei40 I was told that the new m440i 2023 with iDrive version 8 would support it, and I can see the option on the car menu as shown in the link that you shared. I will reach out to the BMW and let them deal with this. Thanks
