Passwortproblem E-Mail

  • No problem with email on my PC.

A password is required on the notebook, via WiFi and when not in use for a long time.

But: the password from the PC is invalid.??

Do I need two different passwords?

The Swisscom login also doesn’t work on the Acer with the Pw of the PC.

It cannot be the case that the same Swisscom login has different passwords on different PCs - impossible.

No matter on which and what kind of PC you use the Swisscom login, the password IS always the same (assuming you also use the same user name)

I haven’t used the Acer for email in over a year.

I think it still has an “old” password saved.

Because the car could have changed at some point, for example when I got the new PC at the beginning of the year.

Will have to continue with “Forgot password”??

No - don’t continue with “Forgot password”!

You have to correct the (old, incorrect) password stored in the Acer browser.

Now you have to explain this to me:

What do you mean by “only with Swisscom email”?!?

Either you use an email program such as Outlook or Thunderbird or Windows Mail or Apple Mail…

    or

You use Swisscom/Bluewin webmail in a browser using http://webmail.bluewin.ch

Yes, according to your screenshot you are using webmail via browser!

Now suddenly the PC no longer works 🤔

      Everything was OK this morning

Have you already done something with “Forgot your password”?

I have been using the same password for email for over a year.

Since yesterday it appears “not correct”.

When I open it, the same password that previously worked appears.

@Jürgen N When you open something? Another question: Are you in MySwisscom? If so, you have the same password for webmail. If you have changed the password, you will also change it for webmail.

Agus fágaimíd siúd mar atá sé

      Just found out:

with MS Edge it works for “My Swisscom” and “E-Mail”.

Only not with Firefox (latest version) anymore!

      On 2 devices.

      ???

It could be that you have activated an AD blocker, it also works for me with Firefox without any problems.

AD is not active. The icon is gray.

If activated, bluewin.ch cannot be opened at all.

But the “number of blocked elements” makes me suspicious.

        Delete browser profile?

        Honestly, I don’t dare…
