Email server problem

  • Today I was completely blocked (due to presumed incoming or outgoing spam) from logging in to my Swisscom account by Swisscom itself, which I then spoke to by telephone and unblocked everything correctly.

Once unlocked, however, two out of four email addresses in my swisscom account are unusable (“server connection error” is the error reported in the Swisscom webmail when opening these two, I repeat, out of 4 addresses and -mail); obviously (I have already tried) it is impossible to change the password of these email addresses as they do not work in the various email programs/software in which they have been configured.

Are there any problems with the swisscom servers? Is it normal for two out of four to work properly and two not?

      Hi omar94,

Has the problem with your account been resolved? If this is not the case, I will gladly have the technical department contact you.

      Best regards

The problem was resolved via 0800800800; Thank you

@YariB no unfortunately nothing was resolved.

In summary: it started on Monday 13th March in the morning with the COMPLETE blocking of my swisscom login due to alleged incoming or outgoing spam (?!); then resolved via 0800800800 unlocking the login.

Following this, two out of four email addresses are unusable: by consulting and clicking them from the webmail the error message “server connection error” appears, just as they are unusable and the same error is also reported in the various email software/applications.

I changed the two passwords of the two email addresses in question but it is impossible (again due to the server error that appears every time) to update/change the password in the email programs/apps.

By calling 0800 800 800 I was told that the problem I am experiencing with only two email addresses out of four working is to be linked to the fault still in progress (see screenshot above); and that I have to be patient waiting for it to be resolved.

      - Is it really like this?

      - Is the total blocking of the swisscom login on Monday morning (later resolved, at least that one) also to be linked to the ongoing fault?

Obviously it goes without saying that it is a disabling situation, as staying for almost a week without being able to use two out of 4 email addresses leads to significant inconveniences as it is in 2023 and not the 1970s.

omar94 The fault does not seem to have been resolved yet, according to the faults page, I would wait until the fault is finally resolved. It sounds like there are more serious problems, so it could be what the toll-free number says. But the situation is not good, that’s true.

Agus fágaimíd siúd mar atá sé

According to the site, the problem is solved but my problem of the two unusable email addresses persists.

I attach the error message that appears on the webmail as soon as I click on one of the two addresses in question to consult them:

I repeat that even changing the passwords to the two email addresses in question does not change anything: both on the webmail and in the various email apps/software, any action I try to perform (change password, update mailbox for any incoming mail) always results in a server error.

What can I do? There’s no question of deleting email addresses; needless to say how many things and accounts we all connect to them nowadays…
