Router problem (Internet-Box 3)

Hello, I have an internet-box 3 which worked great until a few weeks ago.

Unfortunately it’s been a bit of a disaster over the last few weeks.

Indeed I often have instability problems with my router.

For several weeks I have no longer been able to connect to the web interface, except sometimes when I restart the router.

Note

* Part of my buried line is leaking (5m), but this does not seem to pose any problems according to the technicians.
* I have a lot of connected objects… (probably 50).

* I use an IP in 10.7.*.* with a subnet mask in 255.255.0.0

* Sometimes I could no longer ping IP4s outside my network, sometimes IP6s.

When I ping (from several different machines)
ping internetbox.swisscom.ch
PING internetbox.swisscom.ch(2a02:a90:400e::1 (2a02:a90:400e::1)) 56 data bytes
no response
(my ip6 is in 2a02:1210:707a:…)

When I ping
ping 127.0.0.1
PING 127.0.0.1 (127.0.0.1) 56(84) bytes of data.
64 bytes from 127.0.0.1: icmp_seq=1 ttl=64 time=0.062 ms

Have you also observed any problems over the past few weeks?

I put the Google IPs (8.8.4.4) and (8.8.8.8) in the DNS (same for IP6).

It seems to me unfortunately the router redirects to https://internetbox.swisscom.ch/

(I was able to regain access to deactivate them by modifying my /etc/hosts).

So the router cannot inject its IP 😞

Firmware version 13.01.24/13.01.44

Ram: 668 / 1024 MB RAM used

So the latest firmware has a bug redirecting to internetbox.swisscom.ch 😞
But that doesn’t explain my other instabilities.

For the moment no more network problems after the reset… but it’s in periods. Having managed to resolve the access problem on the web interface already relieves me 🙂 (but there is still a new bug to resolve on the firmware.).

Power outages yesterday in the Romande energy network. Afterwards my voltage generally remains fairly constant (no big voltage drops). Which could have explained the problems.

My “specialties”

* I have a lot of devices connected to it (lamps, electricity sensors, etc…)
* I have a lot of static IPs assigned by my router…. (100)
* I’m using a 10.7 network.*.*

Development idea on the swisscom router:

* What would also be great is to see the last time an object was connected to it! (when assigned a static IP).

* See also how many MB were used by this object.

* Ideally to have a “debug” mode allowing you to know what an object or computer is connected to. (useful for cybersecurity).

* See if there are network problems, like an object that starts distributing IPs via DHCP, or if an object starts sending lots of requests.

(I have already seen objects such as cameras that start distributing IPs via DHCP because they are in “configuration” mode after a network reset.)

With my regards,

Gabriel
