Internet-Box WebUI unusable

  • Sälü zame,

    I wanted to ask you whether the WebUI of the Internet Box (under 192.168.1.1) also looks like this?:

    Depending on the device, it is no longer possible to log in explicitly with the IB3 (ours) as well as the IB2 (my grandmother’s). The login window is also somehow moved so that it is sometimes not completely visible…

    Due to the demise of the Home app, it would somehow be practical if the UI was also responsive (excuse me, it’s 2022 😉 )…

      Ciao tame,

      The problem has now disappeared into thin air. The problem no longer exists on both IBs….

      Thank you for your support,

      Dominic

    Everything is OK for me. with 4 different browsers (Edge, FF, Chrome, Opera).

    Have you tried other browsers and restarted the box?

    A factory reset may also help.

    @hed tried everything… From Safari to Firefox and Chrome to Samsung Internet. No matter what device.

    The box is brand new and I had already reset it. It just makes me a little suspicious that my grandmother’s IB2 looks like that too 🤔

    Have you perhaps installed any network/browser helpers or the like for yourself AND your grandmother?

    Have you ever tried using a “neutral” device that you didn’t have your hands on before? 😉

    Because the error picture you showed at the beginning is so completely unknown here…

    Hello @DomiP

    Let me guess: You contacted your grandma’s IB2 with one of your devices? am I right or am I right?

    With a more targeted answer: What firmware is on the affected IBs? According to https://www.swisscom.ch/de/privatkunden/hilfe/geraet/firmware.html would be from IB2 up to IB4 01/13/24 current.

    P.S. When was the last time you cleared your browser’s cache / cookies / supercookies / beat-me-dead?

    @DomiP

    Could it be that you are using a browser ad blocker? I once had a patient (laptop) who had similar display errors and the cause was a browser plug-in to block advertising banners.

    @Anonymous among others. I already had my Galaxy Tab on their network. But this effect also occurred when I set up a new (fresh) computer for her last week.

    Cookies and cache deleted everywhere too.

    @hed Blockers are not active on all devices - but it is still displayed that way.

    @DomiP

    Strange, because it’s certainly not a general problem, otherwise there would also be reports from other customers here in the forum.

    I only had similar effects with ad blockers, for example when accessing the web GUI of the Ethernet switch. Just deactivating the ad blocker didn’t help at the time; I had to remove the blocker completely.

    Another source of error could be the scaling. Have you already turned the mouse wheel while holding down the CTRL key?

    I’ll try again, maybe a new browser without any additional presets and a reset will help…

    Nevertheless, there would still be the point of a UI REfresh on the box… 😉
