Have exactly the same problem. At the hotline I was told that the browser was the problem and that I should use Firefox instead of IE. No sooner said than done - the problem still exists šŸ˜ž

In my opinion it must be Bluewin because my other mail accounts work fine via IE (e.g. yahoo). Internet research was also unsuccessful.

Hello, I’m new to the community.

I have exactly the same problem with the distorted line breaks in Bluewin Mail.

Because I use the email for business, it looks embarrassing how it is received by the recipient.

I’m relatively computer savvy and can say with certainty that it’s not the browser. No matter whether you use Firefox or IE, there is no difference.

I also couldn’t find any connection with manual breaks. The delayed upheavals appear completely chaotic. Sometimes it wraps after just one word, in other cases a line remains long and is not wrapped.

The problem certainly lies with Bluewin itself, as the emails are ALREADY stored in the ā€œSentā€ folder of Bluewin Mail itself!

I’ve been having the same problem with the web interface for a few months. I just tested it again (May 30, 2013) with:

      • PC with Firefox 21.0 under Windows7
      • Tablet with Google Chrome running Android 4.2.1.
I typed the same text directly into the web interface from both environments and additional line breaks were inserted in the middle of the lines at exactly the same places. The breaks tend to be inserted at the beginning of the line (after 1-4 words). But I don’t necessarily want to add the text here.

But I quickly put together a test pattern that resulted in an unwanted line break in ā€œToo much promised?ā€ leads. The line break is inserted after the second word.

It doesn’t matter whether the email is sent to another recipient or to yourself.

      already received.

What kind of error message comes up?

Could it be that your email address is from a different provider than the one you have internet access to?

Bluewin has a clever algorithm for line breaks, avoiding word fragmentation. But the algorithm has a bug. You can easily check by sending the following test sample via the web interface:

I you he she it we her the that that.

I you he she it we her the that that.

I you he she it we her the that that.

I you he she it we her the that that.

I you he she it we her the that that.

      ……

The email then arrives like this:

I you he she it we her the that that.
I you he she it we her the that that.
I you he she it we her the that that.
      I
you he she it we her the that that.
I you he she it we her the that that.
I you he she it we her the that that.
      I you he

I you he she it we her the that that.

I you he she it we her the that that.

I you he she it we her the that that.

I you he she it we her the that that.

By the way, the changes were exactly the same with Firefox+Win7 and with Chrome+Android.

      Hello everyone!

I’ve had the exact same problem for quite some time. I’ve had Firefox for a long time, so it doesn’t matter.

I would really be happy to get a solution soon, as I often use my Bluewin address for ā€œofficialā€ things (such as contacts with authorities, applications, etc.). The line breaks in the most unlikely places are extremely embarrassing! I’ll probably have to look for another provider soon. Thanks for help!

      Nope. It’s not Bluewin’s fault…

If they are already there when sent, then they will be sent that way.

I don’t know how you email.

      About the web fundend?

I have no problems with that (and neither do others).

Send me your email via PM. I’ll send you an email from/from Bluewin.

      Do you have HTML on?

Just info for any other readers:

Yes, it is definitely due to the Bluewin mail front end!

Tests on different computers with different operating systems and different Internet access resulted in the same picture on my accounts (two different Bluewin email addresses). Everything is always distorted. The standard format is being corrupted and no one has a solution.

I have now changed the settings so that emails are only written in HTML format. Then it works. But it’s actually unsatisfactory because all other mail portals can process emails in text format without any problems, except Bluewin.

        Greeting
