Junk mail from Swisscom in German

Hi Swisscom,

You regularly send me junk advertising e-mail in German for some new "feature" that you have..

No: I don't want your junk mail in German (or Swahili, Mandarin, etc)...I can't read it.

No: I don't want your junk mail in English or French...I can read it, but I still don't want it.

If you have a service/product that I want, I already have it.

You don't yet have one service that I do want (FTTH chez moi)...we'll see who wins that race 🙂

I have been your customer for 4 decades!

Why send me junk? Have I ever responded positively to your junk: NO!

I completely understand that this is not a me <----> Swisscom private conversation.

...but maybe I'm not the only one suffering from this junk-mail nonsense.

Tchris Yes you're right, this a customer help customer community, and not the official Swisscom Support.

If you want to unsubscribe you can go to the end of the mail and then click on "Abmelden", then you should no more get them.

I guess **I** am the only valid judge of when a post is a solution to **my** problem, so I un-checked the "solution" marker that somebody (not me) checked on your post...sorry!

I got another annoy-o-gram from Swisscom in German today, with all the option switches in my Swisscom profile now turned OFF.

My mail-reader is set to not download remote content.

The junk-mail without the remote content ends with this:

...no "Abmelden"!

I normally just delete junk mail. As an exception, today I downloaded the remote content.

...a mess of adverts for crap that I don't want (in ANY language).

The remote content ends with exactly the same text as above. Not an "Abmelden" to be seen anywhere!

Clicking "Abmelden" may well be a solution for something, but it is not possible for this case.

Deleting the mail works well (until the next one), but I'm not overjoyed at the idea I'm paying Swisscom to spam me.

You can also disable mailing and decide how Swisscom or third-parties use your data in your My Swisscom account.

Years ago I disabled everything except 1 option (I forget which): it is now also disabled.

The last option was not "prevent someone I'm paying to provide a service sending me junk e-mail in German".

Tchris In principle solutions can be assigned by the initial poster and a moderator, and it is of course their right to tick one or more correct solutions, even if you don't see at the moment that it is correct.

Of course you can unsubscribe this Newletter, too:

It is the same as the "Abmelden" button, in some other Newsletter mails.

Again, this is client help client forum, you must do the necessary to unsubscribe the Newsletter by yourself, we can't do that for you, we can only tell you how to do, sorry. And yes, sometimes a translator isn't a bad idea.
