WHAT IS THE SWISSCOM TIMELINE FOR ANNOUNCING INTERNET BOX WLAN with Wi-Fi 6E standard for 2.4, 5 GHz, AND 6GHZ?

@Stuart This is a "clients help clients" community, and not the official communication channel of Swisscom. Unfortunately we can't tell when Swisscom will lauch a new Wifi Standard. And Swisscom will only communicate when it is ready and then probably first via the official Swisscom channels.

@Stuart There ist the Swisscom News page, where you can subscribe to news or directly the Homepage for "big" announcememt, like changed in Abo structures..

But Swisscom doesn't usually announce any big news before the official release of new products. You may regret that, but unfortunately that's the way it is.

The chipsets for WLAN 6e are still very expensive.

An internet box with it will probably come first. That's my gut feeling. A little later, then probably the corresponding Wifi box with Wifi 6e.

6e is meaningless in Europe. The possible spectrum is severely limited compared to other countries. It needs more antennas and even more effort to separate the bands cleanly. Added value is probably zero at the moment. I would not expect 6e to be built into a Swisscom product in the foreseeable future.

The WB2 with Wifi6 is easily sufficient for the next few years. Even today, not all new devices support Wifi6 because the chipset and effort are massively more costly.

Hopefully it's just a firmware upgrade with IB4 and WB2. Otherwise it might take a while.

Interesting to note the new announcement concerning "Wi-Fi 6E on Google Nest called Wifi Pro " "all-new router with Wi-Fi 6E capabilities for faster speeds and smoother connections."

Would be interested in any comments on issues concerning the technical connectivity of this Google Nest mesh WiFi technology with the Swisscom Internet Box 4 or3 with IPv6 ( though currently without the "E" 6 GHz radio band.)
