blue Mobile L, is the connect pack included?

Hi,

The blue Mobile L subscription includes four additional devices. Does it mean, that I get four additional SIM-cards for tablets and other devices already in this subscription without an extra option?

And a second question. Can I use the additional SIM cards in home router for getting internet? Now I have another mobile phone subscription from other company, and it disabled my fast internet, because the additional sim cards are not allowed in routers. They like to sell a separate internet subscription for home. How is Swisscom?

yes probably with 4G or 5G home routers

With a Mobile ABo Go and three MultiDevice cards. One for the mobile router, one for the iPad and one for the language translator. The mobile router, which has a LAN and a WLAN, is used where no wired Internet is available.

The mobile router should actually reach the same speed as the main device, i.e. new to 5G and good reception 1Gbit/s. With a 5G mobile router you can reach 270/120Mbit/s.

In principle, Swisscom also has a Fair Use Policy, i.e. the speed can be throttled if the data volume is excessive.

Yes.. I asked this directly. The L pack includes 4 SIM-cards.

BUT, thoise are theoritically now allowed for home routers (= continuous connection).

Please read fair use policy:

Swisscom reserves the right to curtail or restrict the service or take other appropriate steps if it establishes that usage deviates significantly from the norm (e.g. use primarily outside of Switzerland), or if there are justified indications that the SIM is being used for special applications (e.g. surveillance applications, machine-to-machine, direct dial or continuous connections).

I also called yesterday to Swisscom. At first they said that router is OK but after I noted the "fair usage" the Swisscom contact person talked with other experts and said after that that the home router is not alowed.

In this situation I will not make 24 months contract with Swisscom because the unsecurity.

The Fair Use Policy applies to the data use on the mobile network. The broadband Internet at home is not subject to a data limit.

I am just thinking about the mobile network usage at home router. The 5G speeds are more than enough.

5G Modem -> Router -> Home network

I have been using this setup many years with different telecommunication operators; also with Swisscom more than two years without any problems. Now one other operator "blocked" the internet, because the home router was not allowed with the data SIM cards.

I was thinking to switch back to Swisscom, but after reading the fair usage policy I will not do it. Otherwise the Blue L subscription would be nice.

"Fair use" means that it's left to the discretion of Swisscom to decide if your use is to be considered "fair". With moderate consumption volumes you should be fine to place it in the router at home. Especially if your usage pattern follows your presence at home (little or no use when nobody is at home).

If you deal with large volumes of data at home it makes sense to get a dedicated SIM or residential internet service.
