Hello TV

Strange, since the early hours of the morning on Servus TV you can only see aerial shots instead of the originally planned program!

@roku73 I have no idea, but what I noticed is that the three providers mentioned have the logo of “Servus TV Deutschland”, while that of the Swisscom variant is not the case. Normally “Servus TV Austria” is encrypted outside the country. Maybe this is a geo-blocked version now. “Servus TV Germany” is here:

@Gaeilgeoir That’s why the question is where you get the signal, apparently not from SAT, although it can be received from there unencrypted and in the best quality (ServusTV Germany).

Servus TV (without an addition in the logo) has to come from somewhere else.

@Gaeilgeoir Tried yesterday via SMS, but the SMS won’t be responded to until Monday at the earliest. But I didn’t make any phone calls, it was just too tiring for me ;-)

It’s strange. Since when are there three versions of Servus TV?

You’re right, the same crap always happens. Teleboy shows the correct program.

SRF not in 1080p and now this error, a disgrace for Swisscom.

And I thought I was crazy. Someone at Swisscom must have been asleep and luckily they expected it at STV and are still broadcasting something. Hopefully on Monday the right people will read this and change it, HbbTv (or us that means with the red button) is also ok. Swisscom has not been completely disconnected, that still gives hope.

By the way, I didn’t mean HbbTV, but the ServusTV app, which is also available from Swisscom (under News and Weather). However, it also shows something different than what is stated in our program guide. Also looking forward to the resolution

@Gaeilgeoir There seems to be Servus TV with a Swiss advertising window. Since my finger always twitches when I see advertising on FB, I never noticed it 😉

The logo now says Servus TV Germany…

If you think about it a little more closely: is the country splitting actually a reaction to the fact that in Germany they always get shitstorms because they sometimes get critical voices? Will the AT and DE programs differ, will the latter be filtered somewhere? Then I would rather have the original. I’ll try to email them.

@Koniferski Servus TV is available in several country-specific versions due to the acquired sports rights, which are different in A and D.

For example, Servus TV acquired the Formula 1 rights together with ORF, and these are not allowed to be broadcast in Germany because Sky and RTL (sublicensed) own the TV rights.

In Switzerland, the free TV signal is fed in by Servus TV Deutschland (Servus TV Austria is not freely accessible)

In addition to Formula 1, ServusTV Austria also has the UEFA Champions League, where you can show a game every Wednesday on free TV, which ServusTV Germany is not allowed to do in Switzerland, as far as I know, 3+

They gave me a similar answer - the more critical shows are all moving forward. It’s probably just the sport as described. Nevertheless, it would still be interesting to see what happens on January 1st to 3rd. technically happened.
