Internet-box 2 no ethernet

Internet-box 2 does not connect via ethernet to PC. Or the PC does not connect to the box? On any of the 4 ethernet ports, there is no sign of connection. I have tried 2 different PCs. Both have been working on the previous internet-box plus, but since I changed to the new box 2 it does not work.

Thank you for any suggestion.

@baseldon Is it possible to connect the PC via Wlan? Could you please try it?

Other suggestions:

a) Have already you done a reset of the IB2?

b) Did you register the Box2 www.swisscom.ch/access

c) You can also call the Hotline 0800 800 800, via remote they can reset your IB2 and do all necessary registrations

Everyting works anyway. There is internet, phone, all work via wifi. Only the ethernet connection is not functioning. So the only wire gadgets can not be connected to the network.

All pc-s and phones using wifi work fine. Even the system landscape shows that there are 4 ethernet ports available but any of them reacts when I plug in a gadget to those. And also the pc does not show if it was plugged in the the ethernet. It just says "no connection".

you must connect the one provided by Swisscom with IB2

Thank you Mamba but I am already gone through all of those details.

I understand that the ethernet connection is so much self-evident that it is not even mentioned in any help material.

It is just plug in and works. And when not, then it is bad luck.

But anyway thanks for trying 🙂

baseldon If the factory reset with the paper clip in the hole on the back of the box did not help and you see via 192.168.1.1 that the Ethernet Ports are ready (see picture below but I have another box)

and the firmware is up to date, then I suggest to call the Hotline 0800 800 800. I have good experience with them, especially when it comes to problems with the Internet.

Update: It works now. The problems were on my end.

I have been using wrong cabel.

Broken home network wiring.

Network setup in laptop.

And one more but I already forgot what it was.

Anyhow the swisscom support on the chat/whatsupp has assisting me with all of these.
