@cymett can you please answer the questions from @EindeutigerUserName.
I can’t say anything about the first question. The second question can be clearly answered with “yes”, because that has actually already happened [-> read here](https://community.swisscom.ch/t5/Off-Topic/Neue-myCloud-angebote-ab -October 5, 2021/td-p/684536) 😉
Ok, I haven’t switched to the “new subscriptions” yet… so I’m still disconnected.
A bit off topic:
* Will the web UI remain for photos or will they now simply be treated like files?
* I’m already a Google user, and then Google Drive would probably be a more sensible choice, why run two clients? Costs are almost the same. Therefore, no additional benefit with myCloud. And mycloud with photos is incredibly slow.
* GD has an API, mycloud doesn’t.

Hello @EindeutigerUserName
Thank you for your feedback and your trust in myCloud.
Regarding your first question, there is currently no near-term plan to expose myCloud data via an API. However, it is a topic that is currently being discussed internally, so it is being considered.
The separation between files and photos will also be maintained, at least in the short term. If you prefer to work with files, you can save your photos to the Files section and sync them with the desktop client. In any case, we are working on making it possible to use the Photos section directly from your computer.
LG,
