And why on MySport Edge of all places?

On the MySports website under Partner it says that the DEL games should run on MySports Edge.

That’s exactly how it is. For this Thursday, September 29th, 2022, for example, the game DEG - Iserlohn Roosters is listed on MySports from 7:25 p.m. - 10:05 p.m.
The game DEG-v Iserlohn Roosters is also listed on Sky.ch.
Swisscom has something completely different in the EPG.

I’m not interested in the DEL, but I’ll take a look at Sky.ch on Thursday. Whether something else is going on again. If so, you would probably have to pass the puck to MySports as to why their own EPG is wrong.

In fact, the worm crawled in here in several places. We are therefore very grateful for the information.

1. Sunrise/MySports sent the wrong broadcast signal to the world without hockey. So also to Swisscom.

2. Sunrise/MySports informed customers correctly in the EPG - with the DEL in the program.

3. Swisscom has published the EPG data for the German version of EDGE - without ice hockey.

Point 1 should be fixed. You’ll see hockey tonight.

Point 2 has always been correct. However, the picture broadcast did not match the TV Guide.

We are now working hard on point 3 to ensure that this is still true in the evening.

In any case, many thanks to all those who provided information. Staying with the picture with the puck, there were a few mistakes from both teams.

  • Recently (since last Monday) the ZüriNews always starts 5 minutes before the hour according to the guide. Of course that’s not true, the news always starts on the hour.
  • Does anyone know why 2 different types of quotation marks are used for text in quotation marks? So `test’ instead of ‘test’ or “test”…

This depends on the text editor or the default settings.

Unfortunately, the program data is still messy! Wrong information about actors in the respective episode (example police call 110 from last night), no information about the actors’ roles, photos are missing, etc. It’s really difficult that Swisscom can’t implement this correctly. With Teleboy, however, it works well. Series recording is also tedious, as you can at least select the program, but then any repetitions are also recorded… these have to be deleted individually and laboriously. And why aren’t you just given suggestions for films etc. based on the channels that you have created, for example, as your own channel list? All sorts of things are suggested, which can certainly be solved better with AI. Here too, Teleboy solves this much better. It’s time for Swisscom to make significant improvements here.

It’s annoying every day…

a few examples

Siberia is a romance film instead of a thriller or crime novel

The main role of the double Nötzli is Yul Brynner instead of Walter Roderer

A number of war films are now historical films

A number of feature films about an event are now documentaries

It has gotten extremely worse in my opinion

I don’t even want to call and complain anymore because it doesn’t help at all.

They’re actually small problems, but they’re extremely annoying because I pay enough for swisscom TV

The program data from Sport1+ is still partly incorrect. The Belgian football league “Jupiler Pro League”, which has been shown there for a long time, does not exist in the program guide.

Interestingly enough, yesterday on Eurosport, according to EPG, there was a ski jumping competition from 2012 🤣. I would be interested to know how the QM system works at the data supplier. Of course it was a recording from the day before.

Is it possible that Swisscom blue TV is paid to use this data provider?

So that only the negative is not always mentioned:

Yesterday, ALF-TV stopped broadcasting to the minute until the EPG was interrupted. This wasn’t always the case.

The Arosa Humor Festival only has the first part on January 8th. recorded because your EPG provider unfortunately didn’t notice that on January 15th. there is no repetition, but the second part.

After all, I came across it by chance, luckily.

The EPG didn’t know anything about it again.

And Eurosport 1 E only said Athletics, so you don’t have to figure that out

@“x”#1087486they may be small problems, but in the end they mean a deterioration in the service for which we pay more. And according to the new terms and conditions from June 2023 (or so) probably more every year because the prices will now be regularly adjusted to the Teuerung.

I can only agree with Sonnyboy. The data provider is terrible. And Swisscom takes over this crap 1:1. Improvements were promised in July 21. It’s just gotten worse.

    • Repeatedly missing or incorrect serial numbering. e.g. crime scene lacks consecutive numbering
    • Wrong vintage of the film
      *
    • And without wanting to diminish the achievements of composers or cameramen, but I really don’t need to have their names in the actor information in the program guide.
    • Even with the main actors, if they are mentioned, you will find the name, but not the role in the film.
    • The actor information is now nice with round photos and sometimes with Geburtsdatum. But for deceased people, no date of death. As a customer of a “premium product” you can probably still dream of Wikipedia information in 5 years.

Well, I learned at school, even though it was a few years ago, that improvement is defined by performance getting better or by receiving more performance. Swisscom probably defines it as optimizing margins by choosing a cheaper provider.

The adjustments are made in stages. All metadata is expected to have been migrated by the end of the year.

Luckily MiriamF left out the year. Otherwise the Swisscom managers would still be under pressure 😉

I WANT the old program guide back.

I can only agree! I wish you could mark this post as a “solution”.
