eSIM / Main device / Multi SIM device

  • Hello everyone

Today I took the step to the Connect Pack / eSIM with the help of support. I currently have the following in operation

    • iPhone with eSIM as main device
    • Pixel 4XL with eSIM as MultiDevice
    • 2 tablets with normal SIM as MultiDevice

    Works well so far.

Now I would like to use the Pixel 4XL as my main device from time to time. How can I access the QR codes of the two eSIMs in Kundencenter so that I can load the two eSIMs onto the devices in reverse after deregistering the two eSIM phones?

    • My problem has now been solved after contacting support and trying something.

In order to be able to switch the main device between two eSIM devices, you need the QR code of the two eSIM profiles. One of the profiles (like a physical SIM card) is the main device and one is the Multi Device device.

How do you get the QR code? It is generated when a new eSIM profile is created and can be saved during this process. Best to print on PDF. Then you have the IMEI, PUK etc. on the printout.

The QR code can no longer be displayed later. So if you don’t have it to hand, you have to generate a new eSIM profile.

Once you have the two QR codes, you can delete the eSIM profile on both devices and then activate the desired profile by scanning the QR code. You can do this as often as you like, like changing a physical SIM card.

Actually not difficult, but the process is not clearly described anywhere. It would be helpful if Swisscom provided corresponding instructions.
