Enabling MAC filter for WLAN in Internet-Box router

Hi,

I'd like to enable a MAC address filter for my WLAN in the Internet-Box router. I don't see this functionality in the settings / management of the WLAN. Is it possible?

If it is not possible, is ther any other model of router provided by Swisscom? If there isn't any other model? Can I change the router provided by Swisscom for another router of my election?

Swisscom does not have this function for the moment but you can add your own firewall and define yourself as DMZ and it will be forced to go through your open source firewall device or any other solution to connect to the Internet, but Swisscom opts for the Internet security package by monthly subscription at 6.90 with a 6-month free trial (F-Secure)

Thank you for your answer,

Unfortunately it is not the answer I wanted. A MAC filter is a basic feature in any mid-high quality router in the market. You offered me a service that has nothing to do about what I requested, and that I already have with another company.

So, if none of the models offered by Swisscom has a MAC filter for the WLAN, can I replace the routher, that Swisscom sent me, for another by choice?

@Hupripraupp80 Yes you can replace the Swisscom Router with plenty of models on the market.

On the copper side (vdsl, vectoring and g.fast) it is more or less plug and play.

Fiber P2P you need to apply a few settings and it will work fine. However, if you already have PON (10gbit) there are some user successfully running routers from other suppliers such as Huawai. You will find more information regarding PON hardware in the german part of the forum.
