Would it be interesting to know on how many devices mysports can be seen, as is usual with SKY Sport on 2 devices in the same network, or as with UPC on 4 different devices outside the same network?

On as many devices as you want, but probably not on more than two at the same time.

I have 3 Apple TVs, office, vacation home, home.

There have never been any problems, but I’ve never tried watching on two devices at the same time.

But I often have to log in to Sky again, two of them are probably always saved as the current devices and if I need the third device again I have to log in again.

With Sky you can use/register a maximum of 4 different devices, although PC, tablet and smartphone are not counted, as I discovered.

Only TV boxes and TV devices are registered.

At the same time, you can only watch two streams at the same time via the Sky app (sports).

But there is also a peculiarity: 2 streams from Sky Sport and an additional 2 streams from mySports at the same time are also possible.

You can’t use Sky Sport / mySportsGo abroad, but it should sometimes be possible, even without a VPN. But according to Sky not…

You also know that almost all of the normal Swisscom channels have replay and 1200 hours of recording are still offered. It may be that a relative is playing and you would like to record the game, it should actually be possible. For example, I currently recorded a game from last year when Lausanne played against the Philadelphia Flyers, just for fun. Films don’t have to be recorded either, they are repeated over and over again

Where does the Betrag 25.– for the MySports package come from?
Who gets the Blue Sport and MySports package from Swisscom for 54.90, is everything available on Sky for 34.90? Can only be canceled on a monthly basis, no minimum term and is available just in time for the start of the season.

@Flagrintei52

Go to the stadium once a month and you’ll be gone for a 50 note in no time, including admission, travel and food.

And Sky hasn’t had everything for a long time. Sky and blue Sport have very different sports TV rights.

What Sky doesn’t have, just for information:

UEFA Champions League exclusively all games

UEFA Europa League exclusively all games

UEFA Europa Conference League (from 21/22) exclusively all games

Raiffeisen Super League exclusively all games

Serie A (all games), and Italian Cup exclusive

Ligue 1 exclusively around 5 games per match day

La Liga 2 games/matchday, from season 21/22 all games exclusive

Plus the Swiss Ice Hockey Cup and Ice Hockey World Cup

There will definitely be a market for that.

Especially since a single game is far too expensive in comparison.

But the good thing is that you can choose for yourself, how and with whom.

Hi @roku73 – are you comparing a live game with a TV broadcast? Really now?

In order to avoid any misunderstandings. I have everything with Swisscom and all the subscriptions that you can have with Swisscom when it comes to TV. Thanks to the gag contract (minimum term) I paid 29.90 for months when there was no football, sports or anything you listed or similar.

I know the offer inside and out. Everything is just not very customer friendly. And the hockey story is something like that again. A lot of blah blah in advance and then delivering little. Now even push your own customers to Sky. Why should I then switch back to Swisscom for ice hockey and pay 20 more? By the way, Sky offers almost all games from BuLi, 2. BuLi, Premier League (in German), F1 in UHD and much more.

I don’t even want to go into the extortion of charging 9.90 for a single European Cup qualifying game since Blue.

In addition to the subscription price, you have to buy the box in advance and you can also pay the basic monthly fee (TV/Internet). So the fun actually costs even more.

So why do I pay 25 for the MySports package when Sky users pay 15? How is this justified? And again… where was it communicated that it was 25.–?

You’re absolutely right. Swisscom is like our Federal Council, big on the people’s promise, “we are there for everyone”, but it doesn’t stick. And now we’re looking at Swisscom customers.

@Flagrintei52 Do you think I’m not keeping myself informed? I have subscribed to everything possible, including from Swisscom, simply because I can afford it, and I am enthusiastic about sports, films and series, and I am not entirely technically inept when it comes to home electronics, and this still fascinates me. That’s why I have all kinds of subscriptions to UPC, Swisscom, Sky, DAZN, etc.

My Sports Pro costs the same at Swisscom as at UPC, and vice versa blue Sport at UPC, this was already communicated on July 23rd. So it’s 25.-

Sky is giving a bundle discount to better sell your Sky Sport subscription if someone wants to watch ice hockey. You cannot book MySports individually on Sky.

But if someone doesn’t feel like watching sports content other than Swiss ice hockey, you’re currently paying 9.90 more with Sky than you would later pay with UPC or Swisscom.

Believe me, many people only want ice hockey, not a “trulla show” with football 😉

This bundle discount could also drop at some point. At the beginning it was even 5 francs less that you had to pay for MySports Go and Sky Sport.

So the discount is melting away. If you can believe what Sky Sport says, the normal price would be 29.90 just for the additional mySports Go option.

The 1st Bundesliga is still so extensive on Sky this season, but from next season it will be drastically reduced to the Saturday and Tue/Wed games.

Formula 1 is overrated and is still on free TV in Switzerland. SRF will also show sporting events in UHD from next year. Even if not every training is shown. With tennis, golf and handball BL you are of course tied to Sky Sport.

Of course, Sky CH has exclusive content, as does blue Sport, mySports, DAZN and whatever they are called, but if you want to watch it, you should get the subscription that suits you. This is how a free market economy works.

Now you at least have the option of watching all sports content on one device without switching to other devices.

Rent single games: Take a look at the prices for single games in Germany on Sky, there is also usury there.

A day ticket for Sky Sport CH also costs 9.90 francs or 14.90 francs for MySportsGo (also with a combination discount), which is not exactly low if you are only interested in one game. It just seems to be fashionable at the moment that customers would rather see a subscription.

That’s enough for now…

Well, @roku73 you can afford it. 😁👍
I agree with you on a lot of things. But this is about Swisscom and its promises. And for me it’s about the principle. Prices like the big ones, delivery is rather modest.

Maybe we should simply “copy” less from Telekom and find our own, innovative ways. But that is a different topic.

Small example: There was no Super League UHD football game on Sunday. The 9.90 game last week wasn’t UHD either. But you want to sell the UHD box to someone – for the brilliant UHD experience. How often did it jerk for me in the past, even though I had 1Giga Swisscom fiber optic. Everything not provided for free. Oh, I could tell stories. But not relevant now.

And how well this will all work outside of the Swisscom box, via other providers, etc. remains to be seen. I’m still very skeptical about that. All the smart TV apps, etc. first have to be distributed and run properly. I’m also excited about all the invented circumcisions so that people stay with Swisscom and Box.

And despite everything, Swisscom customers currently have to do without ice hockey. As if they hadn’t had enough time to act since July. The hockey season was pushed back a little. 😂

Show original language (German)

@Flagrintei52 Yes, UHD was already missing at the weekend in the Raiffeisen Super League, that’s probably due to the change, because now four of the five games from next weekend are listed as UHD again.

To the apps on Smart TVs. Of course, things won’t run smoothly everywhere. Sky and especially DAZN have shown enough that this is not that easy.

Let’s hope that Swisscom can do it faster.
