Ok, sometimes me too, depending on what I read here… 😉

No, all joking aside: My eyes have never been the best, I’ve always worn glasses and work at the screen almost every day. I notice that it actually makes almost no difference whether I work “black on white” or “white on black”.

But what really causes me physical eye pain are “wrong” light sources. So a bright window front to the side of me is always darkened with curtains, otherwise the difference in brightness almost drives me crazy.

In the evening in the living room, dark mode is almost a welcome relief for my eyes.

EDIT: The switch also doesn’t have an IP/MAC address on the network. It is therefore not recognized by the IB3. All devices connected to the switch are on Ethernet port 1 in the IB3 GUI.

There is only TV-Box, WLAN-Box and printer on the switch.

Please enter the exact name of the switch here. Brand, type, possibly version?

Hello everyone

I’m new to the community because I’ve been having a problem with my Swisscom TV Box since yesterday evening.

Briefly as information:

I connected the Swisscom TV Box to my soundbar via HDMI. From there to the television via HDMI in ARC mode.

Since yesterday I no longer have a picture, only sound. If I connect the TV box directly to the television, it sometimes works. Sometimes not - then I only have sound and no picture.

I’m not a technology expert, but I have the feeling that it’s due to the update from the TV box.

Have you already had experiences? Do I need to make new settings?

Thanks for your help.

Best regards

Mark

Hello @Markus88Stoeckli

Did you use the original white HDMI cable from Swisscom?

Maybe try a different HDMI cable, that has already solved a lot of problems.

Otherwise, do the TV-Box without power for a few minutes.

Then connect it directly to the TV to test it.

In an emergency, you can also reset the TV box at the bottom with a paper clip.

Greetings Lorenz

Hello @Lori-77

Thank you for your quick response.

I’ve already tried several cables.

If I connect the TV box directly to the TV, it works strangely. As soon as the soundbar is in between, no more.

I’ve already unplugged it. It wasn’t any use.

Hello @Lori-77

I found out something.

I assume since yesterday it shows 3x HDMI on the TV inputs:

Player 1 - Soundbar (HDMI 3)

Player 2 - Swisscom TV (HDMI 3)

HDMI 3/ARC

Since I use the Logitech Harmony it probably takes the wrong line). If I change the input to Player 2 on the television, I have a picture again.

Why that is so, I have no idea.

Laugh, everyone now has enough time to complain about the unimportant things in life🤣

I think dark mode is great.

And it’s also good to see that at least people are criticizing from home and watching the TV🤪🥳

So dear people, let Swisscom maintain its networks and keep watching films instead of taking a close look at the design.

Relaxed greetings from the Darkdesigne fan😂

Whether with a black background or light

You can no longer read actor lists!!!
There was a problem with that, just get rid of the actor lists and there was no problem anymore!

    Bravo Swisscom!!!
Luckily I still have 3 HD speakers!!! (the lists are still there!)

While the film is running, press “OK” and then use the cursor key to scroll down (“More information”). Afterwards, the actors’ names appear, but not their name in the film. Unfortunately, attribution is no longer always possible because photos of the actors are only partially displayed. In particular, supporting actors who are not yet registered with photos in Wikipedia can no longer be found. An unfortunate loss of information.

I was told that the black background looks better on my large TV than on a smaller TV, where we find dark mode very difficult.

I’m not a technician or developer but I think it shouldn’t be a problem to be able to offer 2 background variants.

    I’m not thrilled either.

An unprecedented deterioration, I’m thinking about looking for a new provider!

Swisscom should ask its subscribers what improvements they would like

and not just introduce some pointless changes.

As paying customers, we may know better what we want.

An example: I only want to see the broadcast list with channels that I want according to my

You can watch subscriptions and not hundreds of blocked channels.
