@Stenguzeld16 HI

When a new smartphone has just been released on the market and you want to acquire it, you without hesitation buy it at full price in addition to mobile subscriptions

                **or does a service provider offer it to you?**

You have no obligation to change your router for internet box 3 and Swisscom Box TV3 the old equipment and still current period

Hello, I have an internet speed of 90/28 in FTTS and copper down to the basement. Can I expect an improvement with the new boxes and wifi 6?

THANKS.

So here I am testing the IB3 but am disappointed. Netflix on my smart tv and Apple tv is of very poor quality. Much better on the IB2!

No wifi 6 because FTTS but I already knew that 😉

If anyone has an idea I’m interested, thank you!

Hello everyone,

Currently I have an Internet-Box Plus and I would like to get the Internet-Box 3.

Is it possible to migrate all settings from Internet-Box Plus to Internet-Box 3? Or should I redo everything from scratch (fixed IP, port forwarding, etc.)?

Thank you in advance for your feedback.

I actually made a backup in the Swisscom customer area and another locally on my PC but as they are two different hardware, I would prefer to be certain before changing. Because I don’t know if the backup is identical between the Internet-Box Plus and the Internet-Box 3 (.cfg file).

Hello everyone,

So, I’ve been testing the IB3 since yesterday but I’m disappointed. Netflix on my smart tv and Apple tv is of very poor quality. Much better on the IB2!

Does the Netflix application on the Swisscom TV box also broadcast in 4K when available?

THANKS!

@Biscotte this seems odd to me given that wifi is a home network (LAN) connection and not an internet (WAN) connection strictly speaking…

otherwise, how do you see that you have wifi 6 or not since the router provides it to you anyway…?

@Hellite

These advances are made possible by a second technology integrated into the Internet-Box 3. With speeds of up to 10 Gbit/s via optical fiber. All Swisscom customers with an FTTH connection will gradually benefit from this from March 2020 – both private customers and SMEs, without a price increase. The only condition to be met is to have an Internet subscription L and Swisscom Internet-Box 3.
