What will the Italian language channel Nat geo people be replaced with?
I propose the History HD channel
In recent days, additional channels in Italian have been deactivated:
Marcopolo and Alice.
We will see if Swisscom will take the trouble to add new ones and replace the channels NatGeo People, Fine Living, Animal Planet and others removed previously, taking into account that in Switzerland there are also Italian-speaking users who pay like the others (German and French) served with a myriad of programs.
Hi everyone,
currently in Italy there are several changes taking place (see article https://www.ilsole24ore.com/art/dvb-t2-nuova-era-digitale-terrestre-come-capire-se-tua-tv-e-regola-AE2G9O1C).
Various signals are modified and of course Swisscom also has to act accordingly, which unfortunately can take time, also because in certain cases it is necessary to contact the channel provider
This operation therefore affects all Swiss operators, not just Swisscom.
As regards the deactivation of channels, when a giant like Sky Italia or Fox Italia decides to remove a channel, the replacement becomes very difficult and often willingly does not depend on us.
I hope I have clarified some points.
Greetings
Patrick
Indeed, without falling into the usual controversy, the offer of Italian channels is decreasing over time instead of progressing or (at least) remaining stable. We have already lost several Italian-speaking channels that have not been replaced. I understand that it can’t be easy, there will be dynamics that we “normal users” would be unlikely to be able to understand, but at least an “official” stance from Swisscom on the matter or some sort of “counterpart” (what do I know , a fixed monthly rental credit for Italian-speaking users, some channels of those at pagamento made clear or otherwise) I think it would be more than desirable given the current conditions in which the Italian-speaking user group finds itself (significantly disadvantaged compared to users from other linguistic regions of Switzerland). In the end, our money is the same as what Swisscom receives from others, right?
On the channel where Extra is now on you can also see the live broadcast of GfVip which will change frequency in Italy (they say on digital channel 55). In its place will come “Cine 34”. We need to see which of the two channels Swisscom TV (one or the other, or both) will transmit. If nothing happens, we will have Cine 34. If instead they tune to the new frequency we will still have Extra. We’ll see… all this starting from Monday 20 January. In my opinion we will see “Cine 34” from Monday because they don’t know about the change yet. After a few hundred complaints, they will take action.

But really, starting today I no longer see Mediaset Extra… but only continuous Cine 34 promos…
You are right!
