The “2000” thing is pure marketing nonsense.

Powerline is a hocus-pocus technology where no predictions can be made about the connection speed that can be achieved in real cases.

The fact that it is of course clear to the manufacturer that 2000 Mbps is far from what can be achieved in reality can be seen from the fact that of course only a 1000 Mbps Ethernet port is installed in the devices 😉

But it’s not a problem, because of course 1000 Mbps is still a long way from what happens in reality.

The conditions probably have to be pretty ideal if you just want to get to 100 Mbps.

(By the way, Digitec tested the MyStrom 2000 things that Swisscom sells. They achieved an average of 42 Mbps in their test.)

In your case, these ideal conditions don’t seem to exist, which is why you can’t even achieve the 30 - 40 Mbps required (for UHD) consistently.

If it was better with your old adapters, I would just go back to them.

It should also be mentioned that PowerLine may also be able to control the router or the VDSL line. can disturb.

My recommendation:

PowerLine: Hands off

WLAN: Emergency solution for small devices that do not have an Ethernet Anschluss

Gigabit Ethernet: For everyone who wants a permanently high-performance, stable, error-free and problem-free solution

If no Ethernet cable is possible and there is only a ceiling or wall between the TV-Box and the Internet box, the WLAN-Box at the link below has proven to be better than Powerline.

I wouldn’t say it’s a hot topic. But it’s just a regular “annoyance” because the gap between advertising promises and reality is typically particularly wide.

If the customer buys “2000” and then finds out that he doesn’t even get “50”, irritation must be expected. Logical consequence of highly exaggerated marketing promises, I would say 😉

Don’t rejoice too soon. It’s only a matter of time before you have problems with it.

It can be enough if the neighbor installs a new light controller, which then disrupts your PowerLine.
