Yes thank you I eventually got it to work. I cloned my swisscom modem MAC and that have me a public IP.

For those stuck I would suggest to activate the connection with your swisscom box and then clone the MAC on your own router. And don't forget to configure a dns server. I had forgotten and of room me quite a while to realize...

Hi, I was just wondering if the setup you had worked with a 10Gbps connection, I understood that only Internetbox 3 works and is supported.

Also, do you happen to have at hand the settings that you had to enable? I found these settings required from Swisscom: https://www.swisscom.ch/en/residential/help/device/internet-router/external-router.html

I had 1gbit which was more then enough. I cloned the MAC and used the vlan 10 and option 60 settings as on the page you linked.

can't check anymore, I have ditched Swisscom because the price went from 45.- to 160.- for the same thing and there was "absolutely nothing that can be done about it". Happily switched to a local provider using the municipal fiber network for a much better price that never expires, no contract period,, competent tech support, and a better overall experience.

Thanks for your quick answer. I suppose it's also much easier to set up your own router with this new provider, right?

Yes it is and their support knows what you're talking about when you say that you're using your own router. They'll even help you set it up if they see you know what you're doing. Swisscom is a bit different in that respect.

i know that's not very useful to your issue right now.

Check their competitors like init7, gga maur, etc., they're easier to deal with and much cheaper. they top out at 1gbit but I can't think of a use for 10gbit at home. And 10gbit Ethernet is so expensive, so anything faster than a gigabit is wasted anyway.

Well, actually it is useful because I initiated a cancelation from Swisscom and already contacted init7, they are present in Lausanne.

Indeed, 10gbps is not needed for home use, I would have traded this for a better router with actual debug logs or for better custom router support.
