On the subject of “list of actors”, we must not forget the distribution of musical works. I just watched Mezzo HD Live for the first time (what a pleasure to find this channel that I could receive “in another life”) and it was broadcasting Norma by Bellini. In the list of “actors” (performers) that of Norma - main role - was not mentioned.
Once again, for works of so-called classical music what is important are:
Name of the work with, if possible, its tonality and number (Op., KV, etc.) - Name of the performers including orchestra, choir and conductor - Date and place of recording.
For opera recordings, for “hits” like “Rigoletto”, “The Marriage of Figaro”, a summary of the action is not really necessary. Music lovers know it.
Of course, these community contributions are complete rubbish.
You can find everything there and in the most complete disorder…it only has one use (with rare exceptions):
being able to let off steam while knowing that it is useless (what do “managers” do?)
It seems to me that the German community is a bit more efficient.
Since the beginning of OS3 many very reasonable suggestions for improvements have been made; very few were followed!
For example:
- in the lists of proposals, there are more and more proposals which are not part of the subscription (very boring, perhaps hidden advertising?)
- many regret that we cannot describe the recordings (at least those that we have saved) because it is sometimes difficult to find the recording of an episode of a series that we made for a particular reason.
- it is possible to print a list of channels that you have programmed.
This list is incomplete, it should at least also display the language of the channel. In addition, it would be very simple to be able to export this list in Excel table format to be able to format it as you wish.
But that’s too much to ask of Swisscom!
- It’s not bad to be able to choose your apps. But why aren’t personal apps displayed on the first page instead of featured apps?
- It’s very good to be able to choose 2 languages for the programs but why doesn’t the list of 2 languages include more options?
and there are others!!!
I hope with each update…and each time I am disappointed!
Absolute rubbish.
For several weeks, I have regularly consulted the TV guide. I wonder who is entrusted with writing the summaries and, above all, the distribution of the films. Because it really is total rubbish. Indeed, the main actors, although great actresses and great actors (for example: Catherine Deneuve, Claire Keim, Julia Roberts, Clint Eastwood, Dustin Hofmann, Alain Delon… etc…etc) are not mentioned, so that actors of very small roles are.
This guide is not serious and demonstrates the total lack of cinematographic culture of its authors. Unless it’s their negligence, their I don’t give a damn.
It’s irritating and reflects poorly on Swisscom TV.

Unfortunately the problem has been noted since April* and appears in various sections of the forum (a real mess as usual) and the solution seems to be planned for August (@NathalieSI for confirmation so soon… it there may be hope! @StéphanieC “But it’s not always possible!”.
As the forum is not intended as a “HOTLINE” (see the terms of use under “Lounge” (@SamuelD for confirmation!) and other users cannot help, complaints are of no use. for nothing except to let off steam.
All proposals for improvements to this lamentable OS3 are lost in the “Wind” 😫 🤡 🤐 😡 👿…etc
* note that the problem mainly affects French-speaking channels and should be caused by a subcontractor (a nice excuse!)

If Swisscom could realize that the TV Guide is not just a gadget and do an update to change the background color of the pages!!! the Swisscom world would already be a better place.
The TV Guide should not be managed by apprentices.
Swisscom TV really offers a lot of channels (which work overall not too bad) and a lot of possibilities with Replay. **The TV Guide should make it easy to find what you’re looking for and listen to users.

To complete my message yesterday about the information requested for music programs, watch for example under 3Sat, August 31, 2019 at 8:15 p.m. This channel will broadcast Verdi’s “Simone Bocanegra”.
We are only given the names of two “actors” (in French on the site although they are “performers”), but no information about the place of recording, the name of the orchestra, the conductor, the choirs and especially the other main performers by indicating the role they will sing!
I checked: all this information is available on the 3Sat website and I can tell you that everything is prestigious!

Is this the final bouquet before the start of the new “era” of EPG which should arrive in September? So here is what I just noticed for the Arte programs on Wednesday September 4:
Arte F (15) - 20:55 - Young and pretty - Summary in German - No name of director
Arte d (217) - 22:50 - Jung & schön (young and pretty in French) - Summary in German for a totally different film!!!!
By consulting the Arte website, the information available on Arte D is correct (summary and director and actors)
I wonder if Swisscom will make a correction…
