Image quality

A rant.

I am currently comparing Swisscom channels and those of the competition (netplus and foreign IPTV server).

I am disappointed to see that in 2019 at swisscom the image is of poor quality (blurry) compared to the others. TF1, M6, RMC sport etc, are far from the high definition of others.

At swisscom, it seems that the image is between SD and HD from other operators.

When will there be a system that adapts quality to connection speed like Netflix?

This is just a little rant and perhaps others will agree with me and that certain moderators will see these messages to pass the information on to the services responsible for quality.

Confirmation of the same thing with a symmetrical 40Mbit/s fiber optic connection which works very well.

And no, it’s not a problem with my TV box or the Internet-box2, it does this from any device.
This is a formal limitation of Swisscom TV of their inability to actually provide quality to those who can in the same way as Netflix auto-adaptive as you mentioned.

    Another concrete example:

Swisscom has been unable for more than 2 years to correct the quality of, [BFM Business HD](https://community.swisscom.ch/t5/Swisscom-TV/correction-astronomie-source-BFM-Business-HD-fausse-haute -qualit%C3%A9/m-p/551908#M18373 “Bad quality BFM Business HD”), currently in standard quality in large format! Whereas if I watch the same channel via Molotov.tv on my shadow.tech computer in Paris from my laptop in Geneva and via WiFi!

HD quality is much better and this for free and without advertising, please!

Swisscom is in lethargy, hibernation, lack of improvement in visual quality for several HD channels as you mentioned and it is inexusable! It’s just a lack of respect for their customers who pay 3x more than Salt. (If I’m not happy, I can look elsewhere but that would be a really bad, dismissive response.)

Molotov.tv including catch-up in French over 7 days with 150 hours included.

Price of 3.99€ = rounded to 5.- CHF

Swisscom further enriches these shareholders at the expense of these customers.
The situation risks turning upside down if Swisscom does not switch to the win-win principle, you have been warned!

I confirm: the quality of some channels is really not good. For comparison, I tried for testing purposes via an IPTV provider and I find it incredible that with unofficial services, the image quality is better than with a provider such as Swisscom!!!!

Gentlemen from Swisscom, please note that this deplorable quality clearly encourages subscription to pirated services - the quality of which is much better.
