It all depends on our use.. But I agree with you.

For a reason similar to another person in this forum, having worked at PTT Télécom and always in the idea of the national operator (it is true that it is still the PTT => Swisscom) which created the infrastructures in Switzerland), I don’t really play the competition.

For TV it was either TNT (my building still has an antenna so free TNT without a cable network to pay for) or Swisscom TV.

Until the end of 2015, we were at 3 MB speed in my village and since work finally at 100 so TV ok! (I think you need 20 or 40 for VDSL, TV).

TNT COULD be enough for me, enough channels and especially in French. With TNT HD the quality is better (this TNT which has recently made people change so many old televisions) but to record you need a DVD (Blu-Ray) burner or, very few brands in the background (Nor Sony, nor Philips) notably Panasonic (player roughly between 500 and 1000 frs) without the other advantages (replay, other possibilities of the Box, YT etc)

And still in many places DTT is paid via the cable network (well I mean the buildings have removed the antennas so no more free TV).

I am generally satisfied with Swisscom TV clearly, I just find it a shame, even if, and too bad it is UDC/FN speech, that the national languages are not advantaged and that on the French side, DTT should be the BASE in the offer and the other non-national languages or English only optional.

Note also that even if I like to change and have the other subscriptions, I served as guinea pigs since 2 friends will stay in Vivo M and therefore will not lose the TNT channels that I lost. Yes, I could be in L, Biscotte, but I find that we already pay quite a bit even in the empty space (my private selection is 49 channels out of the 270 and still I watch what, 10!)

I also took advantage of tightening my abs (high speed is useless in 95% of cases!). Before I was in M for everything and mnt M for TV but S for Mobile and Internet. Earnings per month = 28 francs (135 instead of 163).

Good day.

Completely agree with you. I also had 5mb before in my village and now with 100 it changes life!
You can also connect a hard drive to the TV to record but it is less practical.
I have 60 channels in my list and I don’t watch them all, I admit.
But I enjoy the replay and simultaneous recordings.
As for the mobile I don’t have a high speed it’s true that the S would be enough for me. To see in 18 months….

  • PTT likes that.

- How to confuse customers with a new offer?

- By putting beautiful colors around the white box!

The interior of the box is of an abstruse depth and demonstrates outdated marketing

In my opinion, no one! Top French + is only included in
TV L. With TV M you pay 9.- for the pack. But TVL is 10.- more expensive, so with 1.- more you benefit from all the advantages of TV L

@Francis.M
That’s exactly it.
It’s just that it’s not entirely clear on the Swisscom website, but in fact it’s exactly that.
If you want to have all the channels, it is better to opt for InOne TV L rather than the M version + the added pack.

Good morning,

I wanted to know if the additional boxes are always 5.- per unit more or if with the TV L, are there additional boxes included? (like back then for those who remember.. 🙂 )

Good morning,

Be careful, it’s hard to go back!

Indeed, if you leave Vivo and you are not satisfied following a loss of channels or something else, Swisscom categorically refuses to return you to Vivo Casa.

According to them, this is technically impossible despite the fact that the law requires a right of termination of 14 days when concluding a contract.

I called the hotline 3 times and the only thing you are allowed to do is to permanently cancel your subscriptions…

Yes indeed, once you leave any VIVO subscription for inHome it is impossible to go back. So if you realize that you have lost channels all you have to do is pay the extra to upgrade your swisscom TV otherwise Swisscom will offer you a text message to leave them…

On the other hand, I think we are big enough that when Swisscom releases new packs, we can go to their site to see the composition of the packs and do a little calculation before jumping on them 😉 or come and ask the question on the community like in this subject for example 😉

It’s much easier to complain afterwards than to find out beforehand.:smileylol:

@Lapinou

overall, the principle of TV offers has not changed too much since the beginning…

I would say that it is also a question of trust!

and some people, having trusted Swisscom too much, may now feel betrayed.

@Lapinou

I don’t feel like I’ve complained but rather I’m posting in order to warn members of the community about the unconditional aspect of the subscription change.

However, it would be simple for them to issue a warning during the online conversion which would warn of the disappearance of the channels…

I also agree with Merinos on this confidence from Swisscom which is taking advantage of creating vagueness on the offer to attract subscription to the option upwards…

It is a logic of profit which is slowly eroding my confidence in their quality of service…

In the case of the switch to inOne, Swisscom has made a superb list of TV channels with all new and old subscriptions. The prices are also clear.

I have personally warned several friends not to change their subscription, as the price of the new products does not compensate for their current TV usage.

After the vagueness, it is currently normal for any sector, avoiding comparisons as much as possible is a sales technique.

Never changing immediately is a simple measure in my opinion if you don’t have time to make a real comparison

@Murphy79

And yes, I had to take a good look at the difference between the subscriptions as I did before my change. Everything is indicated on this page.

Unless I’m mistaken, it has always been impossible to go back when there are new offers of this type. Afterwards, not everyone is necessarily aware of how it works.

However, I do not agree. Everything is not so clear.
The proof with the vagueness concerning the presence of the channels of the French Trop+ bouquet depending on the subscription taken out (M or L).

There is indeed a lack of clarity at this level but since the old pack Vivo are no longer available on the Swisscom website, it seemed obvious that once you had switched to the new offers it was not possible to go back .

Afterwards, here is an effective way to leave Swisscom for those who wish to do so before the end of the contractual délai 😉

Personally I am satisfied. For the same price I have plenty of additional options (multi device) S for landline telephony etc. And high speed for the M mobile.
