Frequent restart of the swisscom tv box

  • Good morning. For several weeks - and without me having changed anything in my installation - my internet box has restarted by itself 5 to 6 times a day. I contacted customer service twice. They explained to me that these restarts were due to an update “which did not work” and that my box was trying in vain to do. They told me they did what was necessary to prevent this from happening again. Both times the problems went away for a few days and then came back. Has anyone encountered this problem before? Thanks for your help.

      So I went through the replacement box under warranty and there, it’s been almost 6 days that my box has been UP and I no longer have any problems with reboots or loss of connections. I’m in CPL (via Devolos) and everything is working…

    Hello!

    In the title you mention the Swisscom TV and in the content the Internet Box… What is restarting? I have the same problem, but with my Internet Box, which restarts 5-6 times a day and which crashes as many times (I have to manually restart it with the switch behind, it shows me all the statuses as “ok” but impossible to connect to the internet and even less to the router’s admin console)

    @Stevan Hello,

    Yes Nick1, like you, has a problem with the Internet Box. Reset your Box on the small hole in the box and not restart it using the remote control.

    Sorry for the delay in responding but unfortunately no, the reset didn’t solve anything. I had already tried without success. I actually suspect a hardware problem because everything I have read on the forum has been tested without improvement.

    Should I return and exchange my router?

    I had the same problem!

    If you have a network with CPLs, (via the house’s electrical circuit) you must remove the CPLs and use an Ethernet cable.

    My problem completely disappeared after removing the CPLs for several months

    I have no other solutions at this time.
