@Anonymous: I know it’s not your area, you wrote that, but do you have a contact person who knows about enterprise subscriptions and knows whether Advanced Calling is also planned for them?

My S7 edge, which I bought from Swisscom, and my S7 which I bought on the open market, BOTH have not received any SMS so far and so Advanced Calling doesn’t work (yet).

Can you perhaps ask briefly internally or send me a PM with a contact person?

Thx

I just had chat and telephone contact with Swisscom to explain the problem again. The same answer as before. If the option doesn’t exist on the device, Swisscom can’t do anything; I have to go to the provider who sold me the device. Although I doubt that Brack can help me with this, I will still clarify this. The next option would be to go directly to Samsung and ask them to activate it.

Hello

Thanks for the update. The WLAN calling function is available for me under Phone -> More -Y Installations. Is this the WiFi calling function? However, I never received an SMS from Swisscom for activation.

@Ovski Well, it’s not that bad. If it is a GALAXY S7 EDGE (SM-G935F), the firmware:

Product codeAUT
PDAG935FXXU1BPLB
CSCG935FAUT1BPH1

is activated and there is an authorized subscription, this must work. However, there are devices from abroad in circulation on which the aforementioned firmware is not installed and then it doesn’t work.

What exactly isn’t so bad? I have a Samsung S7 Edge and would like to make WiFi calls. However, I do not receive the necessary support from my telephone provider to activate this service. Yes, of course the firmware is the wrong one, I’ve already gotten that far. I would like to know where I can get the correct firmware to meet the hardware requirements for WiFi calling. Surely it can’t be that difficult?

@Ovski The firmware can be downloaded from sammobile.com including the necessary software and instructions. IMPORTANT: Flashing the aforementioned firmware is at your own risk; Some people are of the opinion that this leads to a loss of warranty. I’ve done this several times and never had a problem, although I always installed a different firmware on devices without branding.

I have an unbranded Galaxy S7 with the latest Nougat firmware. Unfortunately I can’t find the VOLTE function under Connections/Mobile Networks.

At the beginning it was stated that the S7 is only supported by Swisscom branded devices with VOLTE. But it should now also be available for free devices.

Does anyone know why the VOLTE function is not available for me? Is it because I only have a Natel Easy “subscription”?
